• Day off Saturday
Bichette is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Guardians, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette will get a rare breather Saturday, taking a seat after he went 3-for-18 with an RBI and a run scored over the last five games, three of which he failed to record a hit in. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will slide over to shortstop while Addison Berger enters the lineup at third base and bats seventh versus Cleveland. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

  • Throws off mound
Kilian (shoulder) threw a 32-pitch bullpen session Friday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: It would appear to be the first time he's thrown off a mound since he was diagnosed in early March with a teres major strain in his right shoulder. Kilian -- who is on the 60-day injured list -- figures to need a lengthy rehab assignment once he's deemed ready and isn't a given to be added to the big-league roster once he's off the IL. • Breather Saturday
Brown will sit Saturday versus Minnesota.

Advice: Brown will get a day off after he went 2-for-13 with a double, an RBI and a run scored while starting the last four contests. Daz Cameron will draw the start in right field and bat seventh against the Twins. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Could rejoin rotation next week
The Yankees are expected to decide this weekend whether Cole (elbow) will need another rehab start or if he's ready to rejoin the Yankees' rotation, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Cole was dominant in his third rehab start with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday, pitching 4.1 innings during which he allowed an unearned run on two hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters. The reigning AL Cy Young Award winner tossed 70 pitches in the outing, so he'd likely have his workload managed to some extent if his next trip to the mound is with the big club. If it's determined that Cole needs another rehab start, it would be for ramp-up reasons rather than due to effectiveness -- he's dominated minor-leaguers in his three appearances, posting a 19:0 K:BB while allowing just one earned run over 12.1 frames. Should Cole next move back into the Yankees' rotation, his season debut could come during the team's three-game set versus Baltimore next week. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

  • Playing time trending up
Pages will start at catcher and bat ninth in Saturday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Pages is getting another start after slugging his first major league home run and also catching a shutout Friday. It marks three straight starts for the 25-year-old and five starts across the Cardinals' last six games. Ivan Herrera is also in Saturday's lineup, serving as the designated hitter for the second day in a row. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
  • Laces triple in loss
Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Rooker's seventh-inning three-bagger plated JJ Bleday to snap a 4-4 tie, giving the Athletics a temporary reprieve after they'd blown an early 4-0 lead. The triple was Rooker's second of the season -- a new career high -- and marked his first extra-base hit since June 4. The veteran outfielder has now hit safely in five of his last seven games, but he's also carrying a .172 average and 43.3 percent strikeout rate across the 30 plate appearances he's logged in that span. • Sitting Saturday
Gelof is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Gelof will take a seat after going 0-for-6 with a walk and three strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Abraham Toro will slide over to second base while J.D. Davis enters the lineup at the hot corner, batting sixth versus Minnesota. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

  • Day off Saturday
Langeliers is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Twins.

Advice: Langeliers will get a breather after he went 4-for-13 with a grand slam and five RBI while starting the last three contests. Kyle McCann will take over behind the plate and bat eighth against Minnesota. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
  • Belts grand slam Friday
Langeliers went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Langeliers got the Athletics' night started on the right foot with his 408-foot shot to left center in the first inning that cleared the bases and established an early 4-0 lead. The backstop's big homer was his first since May 30, and it marked his fourth time hitting safely in the last five games. Langeliers pushed his OPS back up to .708 as well, but he's still carrying a paltry .204 average and .263 on-base percentage. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
