• Brieske finishes off win Monday
Beau Brieske threw three shutout innings out of the bullpen and picked up the win against the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Brieske came into a tie game in the seventh inning, the Tigers took the lead in the eighth and he finished it off for his first win this year. Tigers closer Jason Foley had pitched each of the last two days, but thrown a total of only 30 pitches in those outings. Foley was likely unavailable as Will Vest was the only Tigers reliever warming up in the ninth inning. After saving nine games in March and April combined, Foley has just two saves since the May 1st. • Shuts door for first win
Brieske (1-0) tossed three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Monday's 2-1 victory against the Rangers. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Advice: After six solid innings from starter Tarik Skubal, Brieske came in and looked just as sharp as the team's ace. Brieske has been stellar so far for the Tigers, posting a 1.59 ERA across 11.1 innings, having been scored upon only once in six appearances. The righty's fantasy value is limited as a long reliever, though he'd get a boost if he sees more high-leverage work due to his strong play. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:41 pm
  • Dane Dunning to start Tuesday’s game for Rangers
Dane Dunning will start Tuesday’s game against the Tigers, the Rangers announced.

Advice: We didn’t think this was in doubt, but the Rangers hadn’t confirmed their starters the next two days. Barring a roster move, José Ureña figures to go Wednesday, though that is still unannounced. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 pm

  • Notches 10th save
Alvarado picked up the save in Monday's 3-1 win over Milwaukee, striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning. He did not allow a baserunner.

Advice: Alvarado picked up his 10th save of the season, his first since May 21. The southpaw blew his first save of the season May 24 in Coors Field, but he has otherwise pitched well since his last save, recording a 1.50 ERA with six strikeouts and two holds over six innings of work. • Jake Diekman notches two-out save against Nats
Jake Diekman recorded a two-out save on Monday against the Nationals.

Advice: Diekman was brought on in the ninth inning with the Mets ahead by a pair of runs at the time after Adam Ottavino got into a bases-loaded, one-out jam. The 37-year-old southpaw was somehow able to escape with the lead intact. He got a sacrifice fly from pinch-hitter Joey Meneses to kick things off before striking out Drew Millas to end the contest and preserve the victory. It’s not a situation fantasy managers will be extracting much value from moving forward, but Diekman figures to be in the mix with Ottavino and Reed Garrett moving forward for saves in New York. • Serviceable in relief
Wilson (3-2) took the loss Monday against Philadelphia, allowing three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one in 5.2 innings of work out of the bullpen.

Advice: Jared Koenig opened the game for Milwaukee, pitching one scoreless inning before giving way to Wilson in the second. Wilson surrendered a solo home run to David Dahl in the fourth inning, marking the fifth consecutive game in which the right-hander has allowed a home run. The 26-year-old has been consistent in minimizing the damage, however, allowing three earned runs or fewer in all of those starts. Wilson has worked behind Jared Koenig in two of his last three appearances, and it remains to be seen if he will start his next time out, tentatively scheduled for this weekend in Detroit. • Opening again Tuesday
Koenig is expected to serve as the opening pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Koenig experienced success in an opening role Monday night, needing only five pitches to deliver a perfect frame. The Brewers will call on him again Tuesday with the hope of getting through the top three batters in Philly's order before likely handing the ball to Colin Rea. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:20 pm

  • José Alvarado silences Brewers to net 10th save
José Alvarado fired a flawless ninth inning on Monday against the Brewers to collect his 10th save of the season.

Advice: Alvardo got the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame after Jeff Hoffman worked a flawless eighth inning and needed just 10 pitches (seven strikes) to notch his first save since May 21. There isn’t a ton of clarity regarding the pecking order for Phillies manager Rob Thomson, but it appears Hoffman and Alvarado will continue splitting save opportunities depending on matchups. • Bryse Wilson gobbles up 5 2/3 frames in bulk outing
Bryse Wilson allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings on Monday in a bulk relief appearance against the Phillies.

Advice: Wilson took over for a bulk relief appearance after opener Jared Koenig spun a flawless first inning. He gave up five hits, including a solo homer to David Dahl, which was enough to saddle him with a loss as he went head-to-head with Phillies ace Zack Wheeler into the late innings of this one. He’ll continue operating in a multi-inning relief role and figures to take the ball on Sunday afternoon against the Tigers at Comerica Park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:54 pm
