• Clubs fourth homer
Montero went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Montero has an extra-base hit and at least one RBI in each of his last three games. He began Tuesday's game on the bench but entered early after Charlie Blackmon (hamstring) exited the contest. Montero is at a middling .209/.274/.313 slash line with four homers, 27 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 62 contests this season, though he's hit just .167 (8-for-48) in June. If Blackmon misses additional time, that may allow Montero to be in the lineup more often, as his playing time has started to slip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:43 pm

  • Homers in four-hit effort
Doyle went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: The homer was Doyle's first since May 15, and it was also his first extra-base hit since June 3. While he hasn't hit for much power, the outfielder has been sharp at the plate and adds speed on the bases. He's up to a .274/.342/.407 slash line with six homers, 21 RBI, 43 runs scored, 18 stolen bases, 11 doubles and two triples through 69 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm
  • Delivers go-ahead blast
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Hernandez had gone six games without a homer after a stretch in which he went deep five times over five contests earlier in the month. He saved his best play for last Tuesday, putting the Dodgers ahead with a ninth-inning blast to complete the comeback win. The outfielder is up to 18 homers, 54 RBI, 41 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .255/.326/.503 slash line through 75 games this season. He's firmly on pace to top the 30-homer mark for just the second time in his career. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
  • Swats homer in win
Pages went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and two walks in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Pages got the Dodgers on the board with his second-inning blast. The rookie outfielder has gone 5-for-21 with two homers over his last six contests, and he continues to see steady playing time in center field. Pages is up to a .262/.318/.426 slash line with eight long balls, 21 RBI, 34 runs scored, one stolen base and nine doubles through 55 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:25 pm
  • Sal Frelick scores twice, makes game-saving catch
Sal Frelick went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Even more importantly, he robbed Taylor Ward of what appeared to be a game-tying homer in the ninth. With Gerritt Mitchell getting close to returning, it’s appeared for these last couple of weeks that one of Frelick or Jackson Chourio was going to get sent down to Triple-A before the end of June. Chourio has really picked it up offensively this month, while Frelick, at .250/.298/.273 in June, has continued to struggle. Frelick, though, does have the clear edge defensively, if that counts. It’s also notable that the Brewers picked both Frelick and Chourio over Blake Perkins for the NL All-Star ballot, even though Perkins has obviously been more effective than the other two so far. It’ll be interesting to see how the Brewers choose to handle things when Mitchell is activated. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
  • Grand slam off bench Tuesday
Heyward hit a grand slam in his only at-bat in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Heyward didn't start against southpaw Austin Gomber, but he was clutch when called upon in the ninth inning. Heyward hit for Chris Taylor and delivered a grand slam that got the Dodgers within a run, setting the stage for Teoscar Hernandez to be the hero with a go-ahead three-run blast later in the frame. This was Heyward's fourth homer of the campaign, two of which he's swatted in the last seven games. He's slashing .250/.344/.488 with 15 RBI, 14 runs scored and two stolen bases over 93 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:17 pm
  • Homers in Tuesday's win
Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Ohtani batted leadoff for the second game in a row, and it looks like that'll be his spot as long as Mookie Betts (wrist) is unavailable. While Betts' absence is a big one for the Dodgers, Ohtani should be plenty capable of filling in atop the order, given his excellent batting skills and his noticeable speed. The 29-year-old has multiple hits in four of his last five games, and he's up to a .316/.388/.608 slash line through 325 plate appearances this season. Ohtani has added 20 homers, 49 RBI, 57 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 20 doubles and two triples. His RBI numbers may dip, but that should be offset by a slight uptick in crossing the plate himself. • JJ Bleday doubles three times in Oakland’s win
JJ Bleday doubled three times and drove in two runs Tuesday in leading the A’s to a 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: All three doubles were on long flyballs that left his bat between 102 and 103 mph and traveled from 349 to 373 feet. Bleday is now tied for third in the majors with 22 doubles. Some of his other stats are a perfect match for his 2023 totals; he currently has 10 homers and 27 RBI in 302 plate appearances after finishing with 10 homers and 27 RBI in 303 plate appearances last year. However, since he’s picked it up when it comes to singles and doubles, he’s currently sporting an .820 OPS that’s far better than last year’s. .665 mark. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

  • Zack Gelof hits three-run homer, steals base
Zack Gelof went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a steal as Oakland’s No. 9 hitter Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Gelof is pretty much impossible to use in shallow leagues while batting at the bottom of Oakland’s order, but one modest hot streak should be enough to put him back into the top third of the lineup. He’s at .195/.250/.335 right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:54 pm
