    • Undergoing meniscus surgery
The Phillies placed Realmuto on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 10, with right knee pain, and he's scheduled to undergo a meniscectomy Wednesday.

Advice: According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, Realmuto has been playing through the injury for nearly a month, and the Phillies elected to address the injury now rather than attempting to wait things out. It's unclear exactly how long the 33-year-old will be sidelined, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's unavailable through at least the All-Star break in mid-July. Rafael Marchan was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move and should serve as the backup catcher to Garrett Stubbs. Rotowire.com Today, 10:36 am

    • Realmuto undergoing meniscectomy surgery on knee
Phillies placed C J.T. Realmuto on the 10-day injured list with right knee pain.

Advice: Realmuto will undergo right knee meniscectomy surgery tomorrow in Philadelphia. The catcher will be out indefinitely, but it’s not believed to be a season-ending procedure. While Realmuto is out, the Phillies will likely have Drew Stubbs are their starting backstop, and Rafael Marchan was recalled from Triple-A to take Realmuto’s place on the roster. Even if not a season-ender, this is a blow to fantasy managers and the first-place Phillies, to be sure. Rotoworld Today, 10:34 am

    • Michael Kopech blows three-run lead in eighth
Michael Kopech gave up three runs in the eighth to take a blown save Monday in the loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Look, we’re not totally blaming Pedro Grifol for tonight’s loss, but that stuff like this keeps happening to the White Sox hardly seems like a coincidence. Grifol left his starter in to begin the eighth in a 4-0 game tonight, only to pull him immediately after a leadoff homer. Kopech, the White Sox’s primary closer, then came in with no outs in the eighth and struggled in retiring just two of the eight batters he faced. That made it a tie game going into the ninth, and Jordan Leasure, the top fallback to Kopech, wound up surrendering a walkoff grand slam, of all things. Everything is a disaster with the White Sox now, and while Kopech still offers value for teams desperate for saves, it’s hard to argue for him in shallow leagues, especially with the way Grifol is treating him. • Strikes out four in loss
Berrios (5-5) took the loss to the Brewers on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Berrios surrendered solo home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames in the third and fourth innings then allowed another run on a sacrifice fly by Adames in the sixth. Berrios was bidding for his sixth straight quality start but labored through the sixth and left the game with two outs after throwing 105 pitches in the contest. Despite faltering late, Berrios has now logged a quality start in 11 of 14 outings and owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 64:22 K:BB this season. He lines up for his second start of the week against the Guardians on Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
    • Berrios allows three runs in loss Monday
Jose Berrios allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: Berrios gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. Two of the five hits he allowed were home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. Berrios has a 2.93 ERA on the season, but his xFIP is 4.09. His 88 percent left on base percentage is a giant red flag. It’s unlikely Berrios will continue to be able to get by with an 18 percent strikeout percentage while allowing 1.36 HR/9. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home this weekend.

    • Could make another rehab start
The Dodgers may be leaning toward having Miller (shoulder) make another rehab start in the minors, per MLB.com.

Advice: In Miller's most recent rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, he worked four-plus innings and threw 85 pitches while sitting at 97-to-98 mph on his fastball. There had been talk of that appearance being the right-hander's final one in the minors before his return to the Dodgers' rotation, but it appears the organization may instead want him to get in one more rehab start. Miller said after Friday's appearance that he felt healthy, so an additional minor-league outing appears to be less about his health and more about his effectiveness -- he's posted a 6.97 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB over 10.1 innings during his rehab stint thus far. The Dodgers begin a stretch Tuesday during which they play on 13 consecutive days, so it stands to reason that if Miller doesn't have any setbacks, he'll be back in the majors sometime during that span. • Tie-breaking hit in extras Sunday
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with an RBI single, a double and a run in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez followed up his sixth double of the season with a clutch single in the 10th, snapping a 3-3 tie by driving in Josh Rojas. Rodriguez still has plenty of ground to make up in terms of his power production, but he's now hit safely in 14 of the last 15 games while producing a .328 average and .881 OPS across 63 plate appearances. • Report: Yankees might eye lefty relievers
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, it “would be ideal” for the Yankees to pursue a “wipeout lefty” before the trade deadline.

Advice: Rosenthal specifically mentions Marlins’ Tanner Scott or Andrew Nardi and acknowledges that “The acquisition cost for a pre-arbitration reliever such as Nardi...would be considerably higher.” He also mentions that the Yankees would be open to high-strikeout-rate right-handed relievers as well, but a lefty is an ideal fit. This, of course, highlights one of the threats to Tanner Scott’s fantasy value as he would almost certainly lose his closer role if he were traded to the Yankees. You’re unlikely to get much for Scott in a trade in fantasy leagues, but his time as a closer appears to be running out with the trade deadline looming. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 am

    • Struggles continue against Angels
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Verlander had another pedestrian outing against one of the weaker lineups in baseball. The positives were that he didn't allow a home run or walk a batter, though he did give up seven hits for a second straight start and isn't missing many bats, evidenced by his 2.9 swinging strike percentage Sunday. Verlander has just seven strikeouts over his last 10 innings, and this is after coming off of back-to-back nine-strikeout performances to end May. The 41-year-old will take a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB (57 innings) into his next start against the Tigers over the weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 am
