    • Shifted to 60-day IL
Brasier (calf) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Brasier strained his right calf April 29 and has resumed playing catch. He'll officially be out until the end of June with this move, though it's not clear that he'll be activated when first eligible. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:31 pm

    • Headed to LA
Hernandez was traded from the Pirates to the Dodges in exchange for cash Thursday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Pirates designated Hernandez for assignment Tuesday after he struggled for much of the season at Triple-A Indianapolis. He'll likely start his time with the Dodgers at Triple-A Oklahoma City, though he has a strong chance to contribute at the big-league level this summer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:23 pm

    • Dodgers acquire Jose Hernández from Pirates
Dodgers acquired LHP Jose Hernández from the Pirates for cash considerations.

Advice: Hernández winds up back with the Dodgers, who lost him to the Pirates a couple years ago in the Rule 5 Draft, shortly after being removed from Pittsburgh’s 40-man roster earlier this week. The 26-year-old lefty holds a respectable 4.82 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 66/26 K/BB ratio across 56 innings (57 appearances) over the last two seasons in the majors. He’ll augment Los Angeles’ organizational relief depth moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm

    • Dodgers transfer Ryan Brasier to 60-day IL
Dodgers transferred RHP Ryan Brasier to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster to claim reliever Jose Hernández from the Pirates. Brasier has been on the shelf since late April recovering from a right calf strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:20 pm

    • Earns ninth save
Fairbanks earned a save against the Cubs on Thursday, allowing one walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Entering with a 3-2 lead in the ninth inning, Fairbanks walked Michael Busch with one out but induced a game-ending double play to secure the save. Since returning from injury on May 11, Fairbanks is six-for-six in save chances and has not allowed an earned run in 14 innings of work. On the season, Fairbanks is 9-for-10 in save chances with a 3.00 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB in 21 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:56 pm
    • Scott blows second save against Mets Thursday
Tanner Scott allowed two runs and blew the save against the Mets on Thursday.

Advice: Scott came into the ninth inning with a one-run lead on the road. He walked Francisco Lindor before striking out Brandon Nimmo. Then J.D. Martinez got him for a walk-off two-run home run. It was just his second blown save of the season. His last blown save was on April 14th against Atlanta. Scott’s ERA is now 1.93. He has eight saves and five wins with the Marlins this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:51 pm
    • Fairbanks picks up save against Cubs Thursday
Pete Fairbanks tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: The save was Fairbanks’ ninth of the season. He walked Michael Busch with one out before getting Nico Hoerner to ground into a double play to end the game. Fairbanks has now converted on six consecutive save opportunities. The last time he blew a save chance was April 17th. His ERA is now 3.00 on the season. Fairbanks already has four saves in June. • Pirates outright Ben Heller to Triple-A
Pirates sent RHP Ben Heller outright to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Heller passed through waivers unclaimed and will presumably stick around with Pittsburgh as emergency organizational relief depth. The 32-year-old righty has been torched for a staggering 12 runs (11 earned) over two innings of work in a pair of relief outings this season for the Pirates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:39 pm

    • Rehab picking up
Borucki (wrist) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The session marked Borucki's first time throwing off a slope since hitting the injured list. He has additional bullpens set for Saturday and Tuesday, after which he may be ready to begin a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:38 pm
