    • Nick Lodolo strikes out 11 in defeating Padres
Nick Lodolo limited the Padres to one run and one hit while striking out 11 in seven innings Monday in the Reds’ 5-2 victory.

Advice: That Lodolo has looked this good this soon after his season-opening IL stint has been a very nice surprise. Maybe he’s not as good of a bet to stay healthy as some, but he’s throwing like an ace right now and the stuff is there for him to keep it up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:05 pm
    • Punches out 11 Padres in victory
Lodolo (3-0) earned the win over San Diego on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out 11 batters over seven innings.

Advice: Lodolo's outing got off to an inauspicious start when he gave up a home run to the first batter he faced (Jurickson Profar), but that would end up being the only hit given up by the 26-year-old hurler over seven frames. The southpaw finished with an impressive 22 whiffs and a season-high 11 punchouts, marking his second double-digit strikeout effort through four starts. Lodolo has given up one or zero runs in three of those appearances and is thriving thus far with a 1.88 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB over 24 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:03 pm
    • Fans 10 in no-decision
Miller allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Miller racked up 17 whiffs en route to a season-high 10 punchouts while mostly silencing a potent Atlanta offense. However, opposing starter Max Fried was even better with six hitless frames, and Miller actually departed in line for the loss after giving up a run in the seventh. He was taken off the hook, though, when Mitch Garver belted a walk-off homer in the ninth inning. The outing was Miller's fourth quality start over his past five appearances, and he's given up just four earned runs across 30.1 frames during that span. His 2.04 overall ERA ranks 12th among qualified MLB starters. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Bryce Miller whiffs 10 over seven scoreless
Bryce Miller allowed just a run on two hits in seven innings of work with 10 strikeouts, but still took a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Miller was outstanding, as he was perfect through the first five frames before issuing a walk in the sixth. His no-hitter was broken up in the seventh by Ronald Acuna Jr;, and after Acuna Jr. stole second and third base, Ozzie Albies doubled in the go-ahead — and ultimately — winning run. It’s a disappointing ending, but it showed off the swing-and-miss stuff and vastly improved command that he’s shown in 2024. The Seattle rotation is phenomenal. The offense is another thing. Miller will take a 2.04 ERA into his start Sunday against the Astros. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Remains winless
Rogers (0-4) took the loss Monday, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings as the Marlins fell 7-2 to the Nationals. He struck out three.

Advice: The southpaw threw 55 of 89 pitches for strikes before exiting, and all three of the free passes he issued came in the fifth inning -- including one to Jesse Winker with the bases loaded. Rogers has gone at least five innings in all six of his starts so far this season but has yet to complete six frames, and he'll take a 4.31 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB through 31.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Oakland. • Secures fourth save
Neris worked around two walks to pitch a clean ninth inning and record the save in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets. He struck out two.

Advice: Neris put a few runners on base, but he got out of trouble to secure his fourth save of the season. All of those saves have come in the last nine days, which coincides with Adbert Alzolay getting removed from the closer's role. The more success Neris has moving forward, the firmer his grip will get on the job, which will only increase his fantasy value. The veteran is the top Chicago reliever to target at the moment. • Héctor Neris notches fourth save Monday vs. Mets
Héctor Neris tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Monday against the Mets to record his fourth save of the season.

Advice: Neris continues to tighten his hold on Chicago’s closing role, converting four of his five save chances, including three in the last week alone since Adbert Alzolay was removed from the late-inning mix. The 34-year-old righty has allowed just one run over his last seven appearances since April 13. At this point, he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:27 pm
    • Trevor Rogers allows three runs in loss versus Nats
Trevor Rogers yielded four hits and three earned runs across five innings of work against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Rogers has now allowed three earned runs in back-to-back starts. Two of those three runs came off the bat of CJ Abrams who homered in the third inning to give the Nats an early 2-0 lead. The 26-year-old is still winless on the season (0-4) and will try to pick up his first win of the season when the Marlins take on the Athletics this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:06 pm
    • Scratched with back tightness
Perez was scratched from Monday's lineup versus the Blue Jays due to back tightness, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Perez had been slated to catch and bat cleanup, but now Freddy Fermin will be behind the plate and Nelson Velazquez will move up to the cleanup spot. Consider Perez day-to-day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:32 pm
