    • Connects for home run
Busch went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two total RBI in Tuesday's 6-3, 10-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch connected for his eighth home run of the season in the third inning, but it was only his second of the month as he's slowed down some after a hot start. Across 23 games in May, the first baseman is batting just .206 after hitting .266 from Opening Day through the end of April. Busch should hold onto a regular role, though the Cubs have some other lineup options if they decide to mix things up. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:42 pm
    • Michael Busch homers, drives in two in win
Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Brewers.

Advice: Busch got the scoring started for the Cubs in the third when he blasted a solo homer 434 feet to center field. The homer marked Busch’s eighth of the season and his first since May 7th. Busch has hit just two homers since his five-game home run streak ended on April 16th, and he’s hitting just .206/.316/.382 this month. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:00 pm
    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) runs bases on Tuesday
Nolan Jones (back, knee) progressed to running the bases on Tuesday at Coors Field.

Advice: Jones was pulled off a minor league rehab assignment last week due to right knee soreness, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s resumed running already. The 26-year-old should ramp-up the intensity in the coming days and could get back into minor league contests as early as Thursday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain. Rotoworld Tuesday, 3:29 pm

    • Nearing new rehab assignment
Jones (back/knee) took batting practice and completed light outfield drills prior to Monday's game, MLB.com reports.

Advice: This was significant progress for Jones, marking the first time he swung a bat since his first rehab assignment was halted when he experienced knee inflammation. The next step will be running the bases, but that could be the final benchmark before he embarks on a second rehab stint in the minors. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:11 am

    • Michael Busch sits for second straight game
Michael Busch is not in the Cubs’ lineup on Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: With the Brewers throwing a left-handed pitcher, Busch will find himself on the bench; however, he was also on the bench on Sunday. The rookie is hitting 12-for-64 (.188) in May with one home run and a 39.2 percent strikeout rate. If he doesn’t start picking it up soon, it’s fair to wonder how much longer the Cubs will keep him in the starting lineup. Patrick Wisdom will get the start on Monday and has now started three games in a row. He’d likely benefit the most from a decision to dial back on Busch’s playing time. Rotoworld Monday, 11:15 am
    • Four hits Sunday
Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 14-11 defeat to the Tigers.

Advice: Guerrero stayed hot Sunday, recording his fifth multi-hit game over his last 10 contests. During that span, Guerrero is batting a torrid .410 with six RBI and seven runs scored. The 25-year-old has recovered from his slow start to the season as his average now sits above .300 on the year. Rotowire.com May 26, 3:34 pm
    • Not starting Sunday
Busch is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Even with right-hander Sonny Gray taking the mound for the Cardinals on Sunday, the lefty-hitting Busch will begin the series finale in the dugout. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base in Busch's stead and will bat eighth. Rotowire.com May 26, 1:49 pm
    • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. goes 4-for-5, doubles
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI against the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: The double left his bat at 117.0 mph, one of his hardest-hit balls of the season. It’d be nice if it came with a little more power, but Guerrero is batting .407 this month, raising his OPS from .678 to .820. Rotoworld May 26, 12:27 pm
    • On base three times Friday
Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk and a double in Friday's loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It marks the fourth time in the last seven games that Guerrero has banged out multiple hits. The first baseman has put a sluggish start to the season behind him, and over the last month he's slashing .382/.455/.517 in 23 games with two homers, a steal, 13 runs and 14 RBI.
