      Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Wednesday that Suarez (thumb) has been cleared to start Saturday's game against the Mets in London, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "I think so," Thomson said ,when asked if Suarez would make his next scheduled start. "It looks like it. I believe we can line him up."

      Advice: Suarez didn't throw a bullpen session Wednesday like Thomson intimated would be the case Tuesday, but the southpaw played catch for the second day in a row and appears to be feeling fine. He'll throw a light bullpen session Friday, but the Phillies are seemingly already banking on Suarez being available without restriction for the first of two games in London, with Taijuan Walker set to take the hill for the Sunday contest. Suarez was removed from his most recent start this past Saturday against the Cardinals after taking a comebacker to his left thumb.       Astros manager Joe Espada indicated Wednesday that Tucker (lower leg) might not be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Tucker missed a second straight start Wednesday with a bruised right shin. While Espada said the outfielder is "making progress," he implied that Alex Bregman (hand) has a better shot to be ready to go Friday following the team's off day Thursday.       Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters after Wednesday’s loss to the Cardinals that Kyle Tucker (shin) may not be ready to rejoin the lineup on Friday.

      Advice: The 27-year-old superstar missed his second consecutive game on Wednesday after leaving Monday’s game with a right shin contusion. It doesn’t sound like Tucker is going to require a trip to the injured list, but it is taking him longer to bounce back than originally anticipated.       Brewers placed LHP Robert Gasser on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 2, with a left flexor strain.

      Advice: Gasser is traveling to receive another opinion on his elbow. The Brewers have Aaron Ashby and Tobias Myers up to act as maybe their fourth and fifth starters for now.
