      Ketel Marte smacked a run-scoring triple off of Jack Flaherty on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Diamondbacks to victory over the Tigers.

      Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman extended his hitting streak to 17 games and broke a scoreless tie with his run-scoring triple off of the Tigers’ right-hander in the sixth inning. He then scored on an RBI single off the bat of Joc Pederson. If all goes well with that, he’ll be cleared to rejoin the Rays for Monday’s series opener against the Red Sox.       Advice: Lowe initially landed on the injured list April 12 with a strained right oblique, and he played four rehab games in the minors before a setback temporarily halted his progress Sunday. Now that he's been cleared to get back on the field, the plan is for Lowe to play two more games with Durham before returning to Tampa Bay on Monday ahead of the team's upcoming series against Boston.       Rays manager Kevin Cash said Tuesday that Lowe (oblique) will rejoin the team in Tampa Bay and will resume swinging the bat before heading back out on a minor-league rehab assignment in short order, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: Cash's comments came after Lowe was pulled off his assignment with Durham when he experienced renewed soreness in his right oblique during his fourth rehab game Sunday. Lowe visited a spine surgeon Tuesday for further consultation on his injury, with Cash noting that further imaging showed the second baseman was "heading in the right direction" with his recovery. Cash said that Lowe may still have to manage some pain moving forward, but the 29-year-old at least appears to have steered clear of a major setback. The 29-year-old has gone 3-for-10 with two home runs and three walks over his four rehab games and appeared to be on the cusp of a return from the 10-day injured list, but his activation will be delayed while he consults with a specialist after possibly aggravating the oblique injury.
