    • Three hits in win
Walker went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Walker ignited the scoring in the fourth with an RBI base knock and later extended Arizona's lead with another RBI single in the seventh. It was his seventh game in June with multiple hits and his fifth game of the year with a trio of base knocks. Walker has been a steady source of run production for the Diamondbacks this season, slashing .256/.330/.472 with 17 homers, 53 RBI, 49 runs and a 33:88 BB:K in 358 plate appearances. • Gunnar Henderson strikes out four times
Gunnar Henderson lost his 36-game on-base streak by striking out all four times up against the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: All four strikeouts came against Andrew Heaney. It’s his first golden sombrero since Oct. 1, 2022. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:15 pm

    • Re-entering rotation Wednesday
Jones is listed as the Pirates' starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals at PNC Park.

Advice: Jones will slot back into the rotation for the first time since June 22 after the Pirates opted to skip his turn this past week. The decision to bypass Jones' turn wasn't based on any injury; instead, the Pirates are cognizant of keeping the 23-year-old right-hander's workload in check during his first season in the majors. The Pirates haven't offered up a firm innings limit for Jones in 2024 nor outlined their plans on when/if he might be skipped again, but fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to keep him active when he's confirmed to start. Though he's had more trouble keeping walks in check in his recent starts compared to earlier in the campaign, Jones will still head into his 16th start of the season Wednesday with stellar ratios (3.66 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 19.4 K-BB%). • Making first start Wednesday
Williams (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list earlier Sunday, is scheduled to make his first start of the season for the Guardians on Wednesday versus the White Sox at Progressive Field.

Advice: Williams' 30-day rehab window came to a close Sunday, so the Guardians brought him back from the IL a few days before he's set to make his 2024 MLB debut. The right-hander submitted a 7.88 ERA and 2.00 WHIP across eight innings over his first four rehab starts with Triple-A Columbus, but he looked strong his last two times out, turning in five- and four-inning starts while allowing two total runs and submitting a 10:2 K:BB between those outings. The Guardians will likely keep the 24-year-old's workload in check to some extent Wednesday, but based on how he concluded his rehab assignment, Williams might be worthy of activating this week while he faces off against a weak White Sox lineup. • Gunnar Henderson to take part in Home Run Derby
Gunnar Henderson announced on ESPN that he will participate in this year’s Home Run Derby.

Advice: Henderson added that it’ll be the first time he’s participated in a competitive Derby. The 23-year-old shortstop is currently tied for second in the majors with 26 homers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm

    • Christian Walker plates two in victory over A’s
Christian Walker went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Sunday, propelling the Diamondbacks to a 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Walker kicked off the scoring in the fourth inning with a run-scoring single against Oakland starter Luis Medina before extending Arizona’s lead a couple frames later with another run-scoring single as part of a three-hit effort. The 33-year-old veteran first baseman remains a reliable source of over-the-fence pop and counting stats as he’s up to 17 homers and 53 RBI this season leading up to the All-Star break. • Earns sixth save
Hoffman struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save Sunday vs. Miami.

Advice: Hoffman allowed a runner to reach on an error but was otherwise solid in picking up his sixth save. Jose Alvarado leads the Phillies with 12 saves this season, but Hoffman has gotten the occasional opportunity. No matter the role, Hoffman has proven to be one of the most reliable bullpen weapons for the Phillies this season, posting a 1.27 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:49 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani goes 0-for-5 in loss to Giants
Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts on Sunday in the Dodgers’ blowout loss to the Giants.

Advice: We’re fairly confident he’s going to be just fine moving forward. There will be days like this, even for generational superstar like Ohtani, who launched his 26th round-tripper of the season during Saturday’s extra-inning win over the division-rival Giants. The 29-year-old slugger has gone deep nine times over his last 15 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:37 pm

    • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
