    Morel was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox after fouling a ball off his left foot, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

    Advice: Morel looked to be in a considerable amount of pain after getting hit in the foot, but he remained in the game to finish his at-bat, during which he drew a walk. Patrick Wisdom entered the game as a pinch runner, and the Cubs will now take a closer look at Morel.     Christopher Morel was removed from Wednesday’s battle against the White Sox in the seventh inning after fouling a pitch off of his left foot in the seventh inning.

    Advice: The 24-year-old finished the plate appearance where he worked a walk but was ultimately lifted for a pinch-runner. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to rule out any potential fractures in his foot and the Cubs should have an update on his status after the conclusion of Wednesday’s ballgame.   • Homers twice in win
    Devers went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk, three total RBI and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over Atlanta.

    Advice: Devers opened the scoring with an opposite-field solo shot off Spencer Schwellenbach in the second inning before extending the Red Sox lead to 8-0 with a two-run blast off left-hander Ray Kerr in the seventh. The 27-year-old Devers is now 7-for-19 (.368) with three homers and six RBI in his last five contests.     Rafael Devers homered twice, drove in three runs and walked Wednesday in the rout of the Braves.

    Garcia went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Guardians.

    Advice: Garcia is making excellent contact lately with multiple hits in nine of his last 16 games. He's gone hitless just three times in that span. It took a while for the third baseman to get into a rhythm at the plate, but the Royals stuck with him atop the lineup due to his speed.   • Scratched with hand soreness
    Bregman has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to lingering left hand soreness, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

    Advice: Bregman was hit on the hand by a pitch during Tuesday's win over the Cardinals. X-rays came back clean, but with the hand not feeling 100 percent the team will play it safe. Bregman is expected to be back in the lineup Friday versus the Angels after Thursday's scheduled off day.
