• Throws six scoreless innings in win
Eflin (4-5) earned the win against the Nationals on Friday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

Advice: Eflin threw 66 of 93 pitches for strikes and earned his first victory since May 13 and first quality start since May 7. The 30-year-old has now recorded at least six strikeouts over each of his past three outings and has only walked three batters in 28.1 June innings. On the season, Eflin owns a 3.92 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 69:7 K:BB over 87.1 innings and lines up to face the Royals next week. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Colton Cowser homers for Orioles
Colton Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Friday against the Rangers.

Advice: Cowser’s home run was smoked at 110 MPH and he hit fifth in this game, the highest he’s hit in Baltimore’s lineup since May 29th. His playing time was thought to be in danger with Heston Kjerstad’s promotion earlier this week. He and Kjerstad started three times in five games this week making this platoon a headache for managers in weekly leagues. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

  • Zach Eflin hurls six scoreless in win over Nats
Zach Eflin was terrific in Friday night’s victory over the Nationals, punching out six batters over six innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: Eflin scattered just four hits and one walk on the night. Only once did an opposing hitter advance past second base in the game, and that was Jacob Young who advanced to third on a ground ball after his leadoff double in the third inning and was then thrown out at home on a fielder’s choice. The 30-year-old right-hander generated 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the ballgame — five of those on his curveball — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. Eflin will tote a 3.92 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 69/7 K/BB ratio (87 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Royals in Kansas City. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

  • Bryson Stott drives in two runs to lead Phillies
Bryson Stott drove in a pair of runs on Friday night, accounting for all of the Phillies’ offense in a 2-0 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Stott used his wheels in the fifth inning, beating out a potential inning-ending double play ball to score Whit Merrifield with the game’s first run. He then tacked on a valuable insurance run in the eighth with a sacrifice fly. The 26-year-old infielder finished the night 0-for-3 and is now hitting .239/.332/.359 with five homers, 38 RBI and 20 stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 5:48 pm

  • Out of lineup Friday
Heim is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore.

Advice: Heim will get a break after starting the last four games for the Rangers, during which he went 6-for-14 with a solo home run. Andrew Knizner will take over catching duties and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:20 pm

  • Allows three homers in loss
Flaherty (5-5) took the loss against the Angels on Thursday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Flaherty got tagged for a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the second before proceeding to strike out six of the next nine batters he faced. However, the right-hander would go on to surrender two more long balls on the night as the Tigers failed to back him with anything on offense. Flaherty had allowed one run or fewer in four consecutive starts coming in, and no runs in three of his previous four. The three home runs he gave up Thursday also marked a season high. • Slugs homer in rout
Cowser went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in Thursday's 11-2 victory against Texas.

Advice: Cowser contributed to the convincing win with a solo shot in the eighth inning. It was the outfielder's second long ball over his past three games and his fourth across his past 14 contests. He's up to 11 homers on the campaign after failing to go deep across 77 plate appearances in his first taste of the majors last season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm

  • Jack Flaherty tagged for three homers in loss
Jack Flaherty lost to the Angels after allowing five runs in 5 2/3 innings on Thursday.

Advice: Flaherty surrendered three homers, matching his total from his previous six starts combined. He struck out seven and walked just one, but there was no overcoming the longball in this one. It’s the first time since Apr. 24 that he’s allowed more than three runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 pm

  • Garcia hits RBI triple in win over Guardians
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a triple, and an RBI against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia tied the game at one with an RBI triple in the sixth inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. Those were the only runs the Royals scored on the night, but it was enough to squeak out a 2-1 victory. Garcia needs to have more of an impact if he’s going to retain his spot atop the Kansas City lineup for the rest of the season. He’s hitting .232 with a .629 OPS on the season.
