    Neris (5-0) picked up the win after blowing the save Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit and a walk across one inning. He didn't generate a strikeout.

    Advice: Neris entered the game in the ninth with a 1-0 advantage and got Brice Turang and William Contreras to ground out to start the inning. However, Neris walked Christian Yelich and moved Yelich to second on a balk, setting up a game-tying RBI base hit for Willy Adames. Despite failing to come away with the save, Neris ended up with the victory after Chicago put up five runs in the 10th inning.     Hector Neris blew his second save of the season in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

    Advice: Neris entered the game with a 1-0 lead and recorded two outs to open the bottom of the ninth. He then ran into trouble when he walked Christian Yelich, only to later balk and move Yelich into scoring position. Willy Adames would later single with two strikes to drive in Yelich and for the game into extras.     Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out one batter during Sunday's win over Oakland.

    Advice: Hader entered a non-save situation and eventually finished off the 5-2 win, but not before coughing up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers. That homer snapped Hader's 8.1-inning scoreless streak and his seven-inning hitless streak. The veteran southpaw owns a 4.13 ERA with a 38:9 K:BB and seven saves this season.     Romano (1-2) suffered the loss to the Tigers on Sunday, yielding three earned runs on two hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning.

    Advice: Romano was called upon to preserve an 11-11 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning. He allowed a leadoff single and an intentional walk before surrendering a walk-off three-run home run to Matt Vierling. The 31-year-old's ERA is now up to 6.39, although he is 7-for-8 in save chances through 15.1 innings this season, and he's allowed at least one run in six of 14 outings this season.   • Jordan Romano gives up three-run homer in loss
    Jordan Romano gave up a three-run homer to Matt Vierling with two outs in the ninth to take a loss Sunday against the Tigers.

    Advice: Romano came into a tie game in the bottom of the ninth, so one run would have ended this. Romano, though, wanted to make it special. The Jays busted out offensively for one of the few times this year, only to lose 14-11. Romano is still 7-for-8 saving games and isn’t in any danger of losing his job, even if Yimi García has looked far better this season.     Advice: Hader has not allowed a hit over his last five appearances spanning seven innings, and he has a 12:2 K:BB with three saves and two wins in that span. The Astros are trending upward as well, which has given Hader more consistent work.     Josh Hader struck out two over a scoreless ninth to get a save Friday against the Athletics.
