• Coughs up three runs
Cortes allowed three runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out seven during the win over San Francisco.

Advice: Cortes gave up a run in each of the second, third and fourth frames Sunday. The latter two were via solo homers by Heliot Ramos and Casey Schmitt. Cortes has been tagged with 10 home runs in 13 starts and has already given up multiple long balls in four outings. Sunday's start was his second shortest of the year, and he's now failed to complete six innings in four of his last five appearances. Cortes owns a 3.46 ERA and a 74:15 K:BB through 75.1 frames. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:57 pm

  • Holds on for save
Garcia secured a save after he pitched one inning, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Garcia entered the game in the top of the ninth inning, tasked with protecting a 5-3 lead. He surrendered a leadoff double to Oneil Cruz, then struck out back-to-back batters before Rowdy Tellez notched an RBI single. Garcia then punched out Ji Hwan Bae to end the contest, securing his third save of the season. He now possesses a 1.57 ERA and 0.74 WHIP on the year while striking out 29 batters over 23 innings in 22 appearances out of the bullpen. Garcia is likely the primary ninth-inning option for Toronto due to Jordan Romano (shoulder) being on the 15-day injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:15 pm

  • Nestor Cortes struggles in no-decision on Sunday
Nestor Cortes struggled in a no-decision against the Giants on Sunday afternoon, giving up three runs on seven hits over his 4 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Cortes did manage to record seven punchouts in the ballgame and didn’t walk a batter. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Heliot Ramos launching a solo homer in the third inning and Casey Schmitt following suit in the fourth. Cortes got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches in the contest, while posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll tote a 3.46 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and a 74/15 K/BB ratio (75 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:35 pm

  • Yimi García shaky, earns save vs. Pirates
Yimi García allowed two hits and an earned run in an uneven save against the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: He also struck out three. Toronto went right to García with Jordan Romano back on the IL for the save. Oneil Cruz scalded a double 111.8 MPH to start the ninth inning and came around to score, but García still closed it out. He looks to be secure in the role while Romano is out. • Sean Murphy drives in go-ahead run
Sean Murphy went 1-for-3 with a run-scoring double in a 3-1 win over the Athletics on Sunday. He also walked.

Advice: Murphy delivered the big blow against his former team on Sunday as he still tries to get his feet wet this season. The double was his first extra-base hit so far in just his fifth game after straining his oblique on opening day. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:27 pm

  • Luis Arraez exits game Sunday with apparent injury
Luis Arraez was removed from Sunday afternoon’s game against the Royals due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Arraez was thrown out at second base attempting to stretch a single into a double in the top half of the fifth inning. He remained in the game for another inning defensively, but was ultimately replaced by Tyler Wade when the Padres took the field in the sixth inning. It looked like he may have done something to his right arm, but it’s difficult to speculate. Expect the Padres to provide an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:03 pm

  • Idle against lefty again
Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Lowe will remain on the bench for the second day in a row while the Rangers oppose another left-handed starter (Trevor Rogers). The Rangers will turn to Ezequiel Duran to replace Lowe at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:42 am

  • Homers in return
Westburg went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

Advice: Westburg was out of the lineup for two games with a hand injury, but it didn't seem to be bothering him in Saturday's win. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games, posting three multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder continues to hit well despite often being in the bottom half of the order. He's slashing .295/.354/.523 with nine homers, 36 RBI, 30 runs scored, five stolen bases, 11 doubles and three triples over 52 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:16 am

  • Three-hit night in rout
Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles and a run in a win over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Teammates J.P. Crawford and Luke Raley connected for big blasts, but Rodriguez took a peskier approach with his constant presence on the basepaths. The star outfielder brought home Ryan Bliss in both the third and sixth innings via timely singles, and Rodriguez eventually also crossed the plate with the final run of the night following the latter knock. Rodriguez now has three multi-RBI tallies in the last seven games, a stretch during which he's also recorded four multi-hit efforts and posted a .429 average (12-for-28).
