    Byron Buxton (knee) has joined the Twins in Cleveland and could be activated from the injured list as early as Saturday.

    Advice: The dynamic 30-year-old outfielder played in a pair of rehab games at Triple-A St. Paul without incident and as long as he’s feeling alright on Saturday it sounds like he’ll be cleared to return.     Advice: Swanson landed on the 10-day injured list a week ago with a right knee injury.     Aaron Judge doubled twice on Thursday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins.

    Advice: Judge scalded a pair of doubles in this one that carried exit velocities over 108 mph and traveled over 400 feet, but wound up staying in the yard at spacious Target Field in Minnesota. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances in the one-sided affair. The 32-year-old former AL MVP has rebounded from a frosty start at the dish this season, batting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and nine doubles in 14 contests since the start of May.   • Tyler O’Neill not in the Red Sox lineup on Thursday
    Tyler O’Neill is not in the lineup on Thursday as the Red Sox take on the Rays.

    Advice: After getting off to a torrid start, O’Neill has struggled of late. Since his collision with Rafael Devers in the outfield on April 15th which landed O’Neill on the concussion IL, the outfielder has hit just .219 with three home runs and a 41.5 percent strikeout rate. He was hitting .313 with seven home runs and a 21 percent strikeout rate prior. While the early season sample size is small, it’s worth noting that concussion symptoms can linger, as we saw with Anthony Rizzo last year. Perhaps it’s just a cold stretch, but maybe O’Neill is still feeling some effects of the head injury.     Advice: Buxton kicked off a rehab assignment with St. Paul on Wednesday, going 0-for-3 at the plate and playing seven innings in center field. He'll likely be asked to play a full game there Thursday and, assuming all goes well, will be activated Saturday following a day of rest Friday.
