    • Castillo strikes out eight in victory over Jays
Luis Castillo allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts while holding the Blue Jays to one run in a victory Friday.

Advice: Castillo took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing a solo homer to Kevin Kiermaier to break up the no-no and the shutout. He allowed a single to Spencer Horwitz a batter later, but that was it in terms of hits. It was a sensational outing for Castillo which has been the usual for the right-hander at home; he has a 2.14 ERA over his last 12 dozen outings in Seattle. The road has been a tougher task for him, but for the most part, Castillo has been a strong option in 2024. This was an example of him at his best. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Cracks three hits against Royals
Doyle went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 victory over Kansas City.

Advice: Doyle gave the Rockies the lead in the eighth when he broke the tie with a ground-rule double off John Schreiber to plate two runs. The Colorado center fielder has been scorching hot over his last seven games, hitting .428 (12-for-28) with four homers, four doubles, nine RBI and five runs scored. Doyle entered the season as a speed threat but is rounding into a stalwart in the batter's box too, as he's now slashing .274/.335/.436 with 10 homers, 49 runs scored and 34 RBI across 341 plate appearances. • Reese Olson racks up eight strikeouts in victory
Reese Olson delivered a dominant performance in Friday night’s victory over the Reds, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. He served up a long solo homer to Spencer Steer in the fifth inning, then the Reds scratched out an unearned run while chasing Olson in the sixth inning. The 24-year-old right-hander generated 16 swings and misses on 88 pitches on the night — nine on his changeup — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. Now 3-8 on the season, Olson will carry a 3.22 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and an 89/28 K/BB ratio (95 innings) into his final start of the first half on Wednesday against the Guardians. Rotoworld Today, 7:42 pm
    • Ian Happ drives in two runs in Cubs’ victory
Ian Happ had two more hits and two more RBI against the Angels in Friday’s win.

Advice: Just like last night, it was again Happ and Seiya Suzuki, who hit a two-run homer, doing the heavy lifting for the Cubs offense. They both have .806 OPSs at the moment and, given the state of the NL outfield poor, legitimate cases for All-Star nods. Happ probably has the better argument, since he’s played in 20 more games than Suzuki. Rotoworld Today, 2:32 pm

    • Returns to Colorado lineup
Doyle (calf) will start in center field and bat fifth in Friday's game versus the Royals.

Advice: He didn't play in Thursday's game against the Brewers after fouling a ball off his calf the day before, but Doyle is ready to roll for the series opener versus Kansas City. Doyle is one of four players this season with 10-plus home runs and 20-plus stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 1:30 pm

    • Zach Neto singles, steals base in shutout loss
Zach Neto singled and stole a base on Thursday in the Angels’ shutout loss at the hands of the Athletics.

Advice: Los Angeles mustered only four hits and were shut out for the second straight contest and dropped their fourth consecutive game. Not great. Neto was one of the few bright spots for the Angels in this one as he picked up his 12th stolen base of the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:22 pm

    • Logs steal in loss
Neto went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Neto has collected three steals over his last nine games despite going a poor 6-for-32 (.188) in that span. The shortstop is up to 12 steals on 18 attempts this season. He's added a .247/.297/.427 slash line with 11 home runs, 38 RBI and 33 runs scored over 84 contests. While he offers decent power and speed, he'll need to make more consistent contact to be reliable in the majority of fantasy formats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:21 pm

    • Huge day at plate
Happ went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and six RBI during Thursday's 10-2 win against the Phillies.

Advice: Happ blasted his 12th dinger in the fourth with a three-run shot from the right side of the plate that put the Cubs on the board, then turned around and repeated the feat from the left side of the plate in the fifth. It was the second multi-homer game of the season for Happ, while the six RBI represent a season high. Happ, who entered the day batting 6-for-38 (.158) over the previous 12 games, raised his season average from .227 to .238 with 13 homers, 20 doubles, 50 RBI, 47 runs and seven steals. • Brenton Doyle sits Thursday with calf soreness
Brenton Doyle is not in the lineup for Thursday’s contest against the Brewers.

Advice: Doyle is dealing with some relatively minor calf soreness after fouling a ball off it during Wednesday’s loss to the Brewers so he’ll take a seat in the midst of a sizzling-hot stretch at the plate where he’s homered four times over his last seven contests. It’ll be Jake Cave in center field on Thursday evening in his place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:34 pm
