      Blanco allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the win over Seattle.

      Advice: All the damage against Blanco came via the long ball, with Jorge Polanco going deep in the third inning followed by Dylan Moore in the fifth. Entering Friday's start, Blanco had given up just two homers through 32.2 frames. It was the first time this season he's allowed more than two runs in an outing but he did produce his fifth quality start. Blanco owns a terrific 2.09 ERA with a 36:16 K:BB.     • Yusei Kikuchi sharp in no-decision versus Nats
      Yusei Kikuchi limited the Nationals to one run in six innings and fanned seven in a no-decision Friday.

      Advice: Kikuchi left with a two-run lead and then watched the bullpen give up seven runs in two innings. This is probably the Jays’ ugliest loss yet, particularly since they were facing Patrick Corbin. Kikuchi is certainly doing his part thus far, amassing a 2.72 ERA and a 43/9 K/BB ratio in 39 2/3 innings.     • Ronel Blanco allows three over six against Seattle
      Ronel Blanco was charged for three runs over six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

      Advice: He gave up five hits while walking three and striking out six. Blanco gave up a pair of homers Friday, one of them being a solo shot by Jorge Polanco and the other a two-run homer by Dylan Moore. The right-hander exited with a 3-1 deficit, but the Astros were able to score four after he left to keep him off the hook.     • Quality start wasted Friday
      Kikuchi came away with a no-decision in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Nationals, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out seven

      Advice: He carved up the Washington lineup en route to his fourth quality start of the season, generating 34 called or swinging strikes among his 100 pitches, and Kikuchi left the mound with Toronto ahead 3-1. Unfortunately, Erik Swanson immediately coughed up the lead in the seventh inning, denying Kikuchi his third win. The southpaw will take a 2.72 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB through 39.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Twins.     • Brady Singer whiffs eight, allows one run vs Texas
      Brady Singer struck out eight over six innings of one-run baseball against the Rangers on Friday, but didn’t factor into the decision.

      Advice: Unfortunately for Singer, Michael Lorenzen held the Royals to just one run while he was in the game. Fortunately for Singer and fans of Kansas City, they scored the next six runs, but alas, no victory. Fantasy managers do get plenty of strikeouts, however, and he lowered his ERA to 2.45 in the process. Singer will try and keep the good run going when he faces the Brewers on Wednesday.       Montgomery (1-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing six runs on six hits and three walks over three innings while striking out one.

      Advice: It wasn't Montgomery's night as the lefty got pounded for five runs in the second inning after failing to retire six batters in a row, leading to his shortest outing of the campaign. He allowed a season-high two home runs in the contest and posted just one strikeout, giving him an 8:4 K:BB through his first three starts. Montgomery produced only three swinging strikes on the night and has yet to record more than four strikeouts in an outing, despite going six or more innings on two occasions.       Sale (4-1) picked up the win Wednesday in a 5-2 victory over the Mariners, allowing one run on six hits over five innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

      Advice: The veteran lefty wasn't exactly efficient, needing 100 pitches to record 15 outs, but Sale generated an eye-popping 21 swinging strikes in another dominant performance. The nine Ks were a season high, and Sale has given up three runs or less in five of his six starts to begin his Atlanta tenure. He'll take a 3.44 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 42:7 K:BB through 36.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up for a home start next week against the former club, the Red Sox.       Jordan Montgomery allowed six runs over three innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Montgomery had pitched well in his first two starts of the season, but was tagged for six runs against the Dodgers. Andy Pages got the scoring started with a two-run homer. Two doubles, a walk, and a base hit brought three more in to score before the end of the frame. Will Smith added a solo homer to lead off the third. Montgomery would complete the inning, but that would be it. The 31-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 5.63 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and an 8/4 K/BB ratio across 16 innings.       Chris Sale recorded a season-high nine strikeouts and allowed one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Mariners.

      Advice: Sale authored arguably his strongest performance of his Braves debut so far, generating an eye-popping 21 swinging strikes, and finishing with an elite 39 percent CSW. A run-scoring single from Jorge Polanco with two outs in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. The oft-injured 35-year-old veteran southpaw has looked rejuvenated since arriving in Atlanta, allowing three earned runs or fewer in five of six starts to open the year. He’ll carry a strong 3.44 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 42/7 K/BB ratio across 36 2/3 innings (six starts) into a home outing next Wednesday against his former team, the suddenly resurgent Red Sox.
