    • Productive weekend series
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Diaz had a strong weekend series thanks to some timely hits. Across the three games, he went just 3-for-11 but drove in four runs and also worked two free passes. Diaz has gone just 7-for-44 across his last 13 starts, though he's striking out at only a 10.6 percent clip in that span, meaning his numbers should start to tick back up. • Cleared to start Wednesday
Singer (illness) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Guardians in Cleveland, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Singer looks to be in the clear on the health front after an unspecified illness left him feeling lethargic and unable to play catch Wednesday before the Royals opted to scratch him from his scheduled start Thursday against the Twins, according to ESPN.com. He apparently demonstrated enough progress over the weekend and shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he takes the hill Wednesday. Through 11 starts this season, Singer has gone 4-2 with a 2.63 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 64:19 across 61.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:04 pm
    • Collects three hits in loss
Bellinger went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bellinger played well but the rest of Chicago's lineup could only muster five hits overall, which limited his ability to collect counting stats. The 28-year-old is batting .318 over his last 10 games with a home run, four runs scored and five RBI. If Bellinger gets more support from his teammates, he could really take off across the board, though he should have plenty of fantasy value either way given his ability to hit the ball over the fall and swipe a base on occasion. • Blake Snell (groin) expected to land on 15-day IL
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Yankees that Blake Snell is expected to land on the 15-day injured list after re-injuring his groin.

Advice: Melvin noted that Snell will undergo an MRI exam on Monday to determine the extent of the damage, but it sounds like he’s going to be shelved for a while. Snell dealt with a similar injury near the end of April and wound up missing a month’s worth of action. The 31-year-old left-hander has been an unmitigated disaster for the Giants and for fantasy managers, going 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 23 2/3 innings in six starts on the season. • Aaron Judge swipes two bases in win over Giants
Aaron Judge singled twice, walked twice and swiped a pair of bases as the Yankees rallied to defeat the Giants on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.

Advice: Judge singled off of Blake Snell in the opening inning and stole second base, but the Yankees were unable to cash him in. He also drew a walk during the Bombers’ four-run rally in the ninth inning, swiped second base, took third on a throwing error and scored on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton. The 32-year-old slugger is having another outstanding season, slashing a robust .288/.417/.658 with 21 homers, 47 RBI and four stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:35 pm

    • Likely headed to IL
Snell (groin) is set for an MRI and likely another stint on the injured list according to manager Bob Melvin, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Snell suffered a groin injury in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees, and he could be sidelined for multiple weeks. The team will likely make a decision on the left-hander's status moving forward Monday. If he is ultimately placed on the IL, it's possible that Keaton Winn (forearm) would be rerouted from his rehab assignment to join the Giants in Arizona prior to their three-game series with the Diamondbacks. • Luis Castillo dominates in victory over Angels
Luis Castillo delivered a dominant performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Angels, allowing just two hits and three walks over seven shutout innings.

Advice: Castillo piled up six strikeouts in the impressive outing. The only real threat against him came in the fourth inning as the Angels used a pair of walks to put two men on with two outs for Jo Adell — who Castillo got to fly out harmlessly to center field. The 31-year-old hurler generated a staggering 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 13 of them on his fastball alone — while posting a strong CSW of 30 percent. Now 5-6 on the season, Castillo will carry a tidy 2.99 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and an 81/22 K/BB ratio (78 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Royals in Kansas City. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:40 pm
    • Twirls seven scoreless innings
Castillo (5-6) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six over seven scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: Castillo's gone seven innings in three of his 13 starts this season, and he's kept runs off the board in the each of those outings. He allowed four runs in each of his first three starts of the season, but he hasn't given up more than three runs in any of his last 10 appearances, nine of which went down as quality starts. Castillo is at a strong 2.99 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 81:22 K:BB over 78.1 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:39 pm
    • Notches 16th save
Finnegan picked up the save Sunday against Cleveland, allowing one hit and zero walks while striking out zero in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Finnegan's strong season continued Sunday, and his 16 saves are tied for fourth in the major leagues. The 32-year-old has been remarkably consistent, allowing just one earned run since March 31 and converting 14 of 15 save opportunities during that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:33 pm
