    • Shohei Ohtani swipes two bags in loss to Brewers
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-5 and stole a pair of bases as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Ohtani smacked a one-out single off of Dallas Keuchel in the third inning then proceeded to swipe second and third base before getting stranded there. He has now eclipsed the 20-steal plateau for the third time in his career and has already matched his total from the 2023 season. The 30-year-old superstar is slashing .314/.399/.637 with 28 homers, 65 RBI and 20 stolen bases through his first 88 games with the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:08 pm

    • Blows save but notches win
Diaz (3-1) got the win during Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Pirates but also blew the save. He did not allow a run on one hit, one walk and one strikeout over 1.1 innings.

Advice: With the Mets leading 1-0, Diaz entered the game with two outs in the eighth and allowed a walk and the go-ahead hit. After Francisco Lindor gave his team the lead, Diaz came back out and pitched a clean ninth to pick up his third win. The 30-year-old returned from his 10-game suspension on Saturday, and he picked up the save. With Sunday's outing, he hasn't allowed a run in his last six appearances and has lowered his ERA to 4.26.  Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:21 pm
    • Paul Skenes headlines pitchers for N.L. All-Stars
Pirates’ rookie right-hander Paul Skenes was named to his first National League All-Star team on Sunday, despite having logged just 59 1/3 innings at the big-league level.

Advice: It’s the first of what should be many All-Star game nods for the studly 22-year-old hurler who has gone 5-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and a 78/12 K/BB ratio through his first 10 MLB starts. He’ll be joined on the N.L. All-Star squad by fellow pitchers Ranger Suarez, Tyler Glasnow, Shota Imanaga, Reynaldo Lopez, Logan Webb, Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, Ryan Helsley, Tanner Scott, Robert Suarez, Matt Strahm and Jeff Hoffman. • Expects to play Monday
Correa (finger) expects to be in the lineup Monday versus the White Sox, Audra Martin of Bally Sports North reports.

Advice: Correa exited Sunday's 3-2 win over Houston with a bruised right finger in the first inning, but he explained to Martin after the game that he doesn't expect the injury to sideline him moving forward. The shortstop will look to bring his expectation to fruition in Monday's series opener on the road against the White Sox. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:40 pm

    • Carlos Correa (finger) expects to play on Monday
Carlos Correa (finger) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to return to the Twins’ starting lineup on Monday.

Advice: Correa was pulled from Sunday’s game after being hit by a pitch, but fortunately X-rays came back negative for any structural damage and he’s merely dealing with a right finger contusion. If the 29-year-old shortstop says that he’s good enough to play on Monday, then chances are he’ll be in the Twins’ lineup for their series opener against the White Sox in Chicago. • Edwin Díaz blows save, earns win against Pirates
Edwin Díaz worked 1 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Pirates. He allowed one hit, one walk, struck out one batter, blew the save, and wound up with the win.

Advice: Back from suspension, Díaz was tasked with a four-out save pitching on back-to-back days. He walked the first batter he saw and allowed both of his inherited runners to score. Then, the Mets grabbed the lead and he came back out to pitch a scoreless ninth inning. Díaz clearly isn’t the same pitcher he was in 2022, but the Mets have absolute trust in him as their closer. • Cody Bellinger goes 0-for-4 in second straight
Cody Bellinger went 0-for-4 for a second straight game Sunday against the Angels.

Advice: Bellinger’s batting average has been holding steady, but he has just one homer and six doubles since the beginning of June. In his first 43 games this season, he hit .267/.332/.471 with 26 RBI. In his last 34 games, he’s come in at .265/.319/.333 with 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm

    • Set to return from IL on Tuesday
The Giants will reinstate Snell (groin) from the 15-day injured list and have him start Tuesday versus the Blue Jays in San Francisco, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: As he prepares for his first start with the Giants since June following his second IL stint of the season, Snell will be taking the hill on five days' rest. The southpaw endured some bumps in the road in the first of his two rehab outings in his return from a left groin strain, but he was utterly dominant in his final start for Sacramento on Wednesday, tossing five no-hit, shutout innings while striking out nine. He'll tentatively line up for two starts during the upcoming week, with his second outing set to fall next Sunday versus the Twins in the Giants' final game before the All-Star break. • Receiving breather Sunday
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Contreras started the past 12 games after missing one contest due to a head injury, and he'll take a seat Sunday after he posted a .319/.396/.468 slash line during that stretch. It's just his fourth game out of the lineup this season. Eric Haase will step in behind the plate to catch for veteran lefty Dallas Keuchel. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm
