    • De La Cruz hits RBI triple, steals base in win
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a run scored, a triple, an RBI and a stolen base against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: De La Cruzā€™s RBI triple off Miles Mikolas in the first inning started the scoring for Cincinnati. He later stole his 38th base of the season. De La Cruz is hitting .255 with an .815 OPS and 36 RBI on the year.

    • Abbott allows two runs in win Thursday
Andrew Abbott allowed two runs in five innings and got the win in the Redsā€™ 11-4 victory over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: Abbott gave up two hits, walked six and struck out two. Abbott wasnā€™t sharp as the six walks were a season-high, but the Reds scored 10 runs while he was in the game and he was able to grind out five innings to earn his seventh win of the season. Abbott has won four of his last five starts and has a 3.41 ERA on the year. The 25-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.

    • Mikolas hammered for 10 runs in loss Thursday
Miles Mikolas allowed 10 runs (nine earned) in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Mikolas gave up 12 hits, walked one and struck out one. This was a disaster of a start for Mikolas. He only allowed one home run, but the Reds had a hit parade against Mikolas, who allowed a .478 BABIP in this start. Mikolas was hit hard as eight of the 12 hits went for extra bases including six doubles, a triple by Elly De La Cruz and a home run off the bat of Spencer Steer. Heā€™s seen his ERA go from 4.59 to 5.32 in his last two starts. The 35-year-old right-hander will look to turn the page against the Pirates on the road next week.

    • Perez has two-hit game in win Thursday
Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Perez has hit safely in four consecutive games. Heā€™s seen his average drop from .321 at the end of May to .283. The Royals lineup desperately needs his bat to wake up again. This was only his third multi-hit game in June, but maybe itā€™s the start of a hot streak. Rotoworld Today, 7:44 pm

    • Delivers big home run in win
Happ went 1-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Happ reached base twice via walks earlier in the contest, but it was his home run in the 10th inning that proved critical. The outfielder broke open a 3-3 tie with his 10th long ball of the year, and the Cubs held on for the victory. Happ has now reached double figures in homers in each of his eight MLB seasons, making him a steady if not spectacular fantasy contributor across his career. Rotowire.com Today, 7:42 pm

    • Garcia hits RBI triple in win over Guardians
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a triple, and an RBI against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia tied the game at one with an RBI triple in the sixth inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. Those were the only runs the Royals scored on the night, but it was enough to squeak out a 2-1 victory. Garcia needs to have more of an impact if heā€™s going to retain his spot atop the Kansas City lineup for the rest of the season. Heā€™s hitting .232 with a .629 OPS on the season. • Doubles, triples in win
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki didn't rack up the counting stats but he still had a solid effort in the win. He tallied his 11th double and second triple of the season, and he's now batting a solid .266 with a .796 OPS. Suzuki's game doesn't jump off the page, though he's been a steady contributor since he came over from Japan in 2022. The outfielder slashed .262/.336/.433 as a rookie, then followed that up with a .285/.357/.485 line last season. Suzuki is on pace for similar figures once again this year. • McArthur picks up 14th save against Royals
James McArthur tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: The save was his 14th of the season. McArthur has a 4.41 ERA after another scoreless outing. Thereā€™s no question that heā€™s the Royalsā€™ best option for saves going forward. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm
    • Lively strikes out five in loss to Royals Thursday
Ben Lively allowed two runs in six innings and took the loss against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Lively gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He continues to pitch pretty well, but the Guardians only provided one run in support of his effort. Lively has a 3.03 ERA on the season. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox at home next week.
