      Advice: The Cubs are using Cody Bellinger at first base, Mike Tauchman at DH with Ian Happ, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Seiya Suzuki in the outfield. Busch takes his turn on the bench Friday. The rookie infielder had a stretch in mid-April when he homered in five straight games, but in 37 contests since then he's slashed just .202/.296/.316 with two homers and a 38.6 percent strikeout rate.       Advice: The veteran outfielder ended a 12-game drought on the basepaths while recording his second straight multi-hit performance. Marte is batting .333 (10-for-30) over the last 12 games, a hot streak that has boosted his slash line on the season to .267/.314/.395 with six homers, nine steals, 19 RBI and 27 runs in 52 contests.       Advice: Lindor suffered a swollen finger on a bunt attempt during a game Tuesday, but the issue hasn't caused him to miss any time and certainly didn't seem to impact his swing Thursday. The shortstop collected his second four-hit game of the season, which was highlighted by a 431-foot solo homer in the third inning. Lindor is still batting just .225 on the campaign, but he's hit safely in nine straight contests and has posted a .375 batting average, two homers, four doubles and six RBI over that span.       Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-2 win Thursday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Fantasy managers have to be thrilled seeing this one, as Lindor has been a massive disappointment a third of the way through 2024. The homer is the ninth of the season, and the stolen base gives the 30-year-old seven swipes through 2024. Lindor has gotten off to poor starts before only to finish hot, and there’s reason to believe that can happen again. It doesn’t make the previous two months any less frustrating, however.     • Francisco Alvarez homers Thursday in rehab game
      Francisco Alvarez (thumb) crushed a three-run homer on Thursday in a minor league rehab contest for Double-A Binghamton.

      Advice: Alvarez kicked off his minor league rehab assignment by catching five innings behind the plate and slugging a monstrous three-run homer in his second plate appearance. The 22-year-old backstop, who is recovering from last month’s thumb surgery, will likely need a couple more tune-up games before returning to New York. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:29 pm

      Seiya Suzuki went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run against the Brewers on Thursday.

      Advice: The home run was Suzuki’s fifth of the season. He pinch hit in the seventh inning a homered off left-handed reliever Bryan Hudson. It was just the second home run for Suzuki since coming off the injured list on May 11th. He seems to be over the injury as he’s now on a seven-game hitting streak. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:22 pm
