      MLB suspended RHP Edwin Díaz for 10 games for violating the prohibitions on foreign substances.

      Advice: The suspension became automatic the moment Díaz was tossed last night, though he can appeal it. Díaz said after the game that all he had on his hand was rosin, sweat and dirt.       Advice: Diaz was ejected from Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs after failing the "sticky substance" test from the crew chief upon entering the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. The suspension will go into effect beginning with Tuesday's game against the Yankees, and assuming he elects not to appeal the ban, the 30-year-old closer won't be eligible to pitch until July 6 against the Pirates.       Finnegan picked up the save Sunday against Colorado, allowing two hits with two strikeouts across a scoreless ninth inning.

      Advice: After blowing the save Saturday night on a pitch clock violation with the bases loaded -- the first time that's happened since MLB introduced the pitch clock -- Finnegan was able to convert for his 22nd save of the campaign Sunday. However, he flirted with danger as Ryan McMahon and Brendan Rodgers hit back-to-back singles to start the final half-inning. Finnegan kept the game-tying run at second and retired three straight to close out the contest. The 32-year-old trails only Ryan Helsley and Emmanuel Clase for the most saves in baseball.       Advice: It was not without drama, which is par for the course with Finnegan’s saves. He allowed back-to-back singles to start the inning, but then got Nolan Jones to strike out, Hunter Goodman to fly out, and caught Michael Toglia looking to end the game. Finnegan has a 2.23 ERA on the season but could lose a significant amount of fantasy value if he gets traded at the deadline.
