      Advice: It was another strong outing from Nola, who held St. Louis to a pair of solo home runs in a winning effort. The 30-year-old right-hander has held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last four outings. Nola's ERA now sits at 3.03 on the year with a 1.03 WHIP and 71:22 K:BB across 12 starts (77.1 innings).       Aaron Nola picked up his seventh victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Cardinals to two runs on three hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

      Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the evening while issuing two free passes. Both of the runs against him came on solo home runs — one by Brandon Crawford in the third inning and another off the bat of Nolan Arenado in the seventh. Nola generated 10 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night — six of those on his knuckle curve — while registering a CSW of 30 percent. Hoskins should immediately return to a near-everyday role for the Brewers, though he may see more action as a DH as he gets his hamstring used to playing in games again.       Advice: Melendez's fourth-inning blast gave the Royals a 4-0 lead before things turned south for them in the middle innings. May has been a rough month for Melendez, who has gone 12-for-69 (.174) with six extra-base hits over 23 contests in the month. His previous homer was April 19, and he now has five long balls on the year to go with 13 RBI, 14 runs scored, two stolen bases and a poor .176/.238/.346 slash line through 50 games.
