• Getting spot start Sunday
Liberatore will start Sunday's game against the White Sox, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: All 12 of Liberatore's appearances this season have come in relief, so while he did throw three innings in an April 28 appearance, this will be a bullpen game for the Cardinals. It's the rotation spot vacated by the injured Steven Matz (back). Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Korey Lee doubles, drives in two in win
Korey Lee went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Saturday in a 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Lee led off the second inning with a double, then drove in two runs to tie the game with a base hit in the sixth. The 25-year-old backstop is emerging as a solid offensive catcher for the White Sox, slashing .271/.306/.475 with three homers across 62 plate appearances. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Tanner Banks earns save in tenth vs. Cardinals
Tanner Banks struck out the final batter in the bottom of the tenth to earn the save against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The contest between the Cardinals and White Sox went into a rain delay with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the tenth. Banks took the mound after a three-hour delay to close it out with a one-run lead. He struck out Iván Herrera to end the game with his first save of the season. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
  • Lance Lynn gives up five runs in no-decision
Lance Lynn allowed five runs -- four earned -- with four strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Lynn gave up a pair of runs in the first inning on two hits, a walk, and a sacrifice fly. He worked through two scoreless innings before a base hit and an error brought a third run in for the White Sox in the fourth. Lynn would pitch into the sixth with a two-run lead, but walked the first two batters before he was pulled. Both inherited runners would come in to score, saddling Lynn with a no-decision. The 36-year-old right-hander will take a 3.28 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and a 33/16 K/BB ratio across 35 2/3 innings into a start against the Brewers in Milwaukee on Thursday. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • Exits with apparent knee injury
Murphy was removed from Saturday's game versus the Phillies in the second inning with an apparent knee injury, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Murphy looked to tweak his knee as he chased down a wild pitch. The Giants already put Patrick Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list earlier Saturday and now may have lost another catcher. Blake Sabol -- who was recalled to replace Bailey on the roster -- took over behind the dish for Murphy on Saturday. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

  • Returns from IL with homer
Kiermaier went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Activated from the injured list earlier in the day following a minimum absence with a hip injury, Kiermaier took reliever Derek Law deep in the eighth inning to extend the Blue Jays' lead. It was his first longball of the season and just his third extra-base hit. Kiermaier finished last season with an above-average 104 OPS+, but for fantasy purposes he remains more of an AL-only play. • Throws light bullpen session
McCullers (forearm) threw a light bullpen session Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: McCullers had previously done some throwing from the front slope of the mound, but this was his first time throwing from the top of the bump since he had surgery last June to repair the flexor tendon and remove a bone spur from his forearm. It's a big step, but McCullers is still at least a month away from a rehab assignment, with a return to the Astros hopefully by July if all goes well. Rotowire.com Today, 4:42 pm
  • Doomed by rough first inning
Irvin (2-3) was saddled with a loss Saturday versus the Blue Jays, permitting four runs (zero earned) on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Irvin needed 32 pitches to get through the first inning, thanks in large part due to a pair of errors committed behind him. The silver lining is all four of the runs the Jays scored in the opening frame were unearned, so he watched his ERA on the season drop from 4.28 to 3.72. Irvin mostly settled in after that but still required a season-high 107 pitches to cover his five innings. The righty has walked just eight guys in seven starts this season, showing immensely improved control after he issued free passes at a 10.2 percent clip in 2023. His next start is lined up to come in Boston. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 pm

  • Kevin Kiermaier hits first homer in win over Nats
Kevin Kiermaier went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer as the Blue Jays won 6-3 over the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: After the Nationals scored two runs to cut into the Toronto lead in to bottom of the seventh, Kiermaier put two runs back on the board for the Blue Jays with a two-run homer off Derek Law. It was the first home run of the season for the 34-year-old defensive-first outfielder. Kiermaier is slashing .197/.246/.279 across 66 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 4:11 pm
