      Bryson Stott drove in a pair of runs on Friday night, accounting for all of the Phillies’ offense in a 2-0 victory over the Marlins.

      Advice: Stott used his wheels in the fifth inning, beating out a potential inning-ending double play ball to score Whit Merrifield with the game’s first run. He then tacked on a valuable insurance run in the eighth with a sacrifice fly.       Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.

      Ian Happ hit a go-ahead homer in the 10th to help give the Cubs a 5-3 win over the Giants on Thursday.

      Advice: Happ gave the Cubs a 5-3 lead with a two-run shot off Luke Jackson to give Chicago the 5-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 29-year-old had been scuffling as of late with just two hits in his last 21 at-bats coming into the contest, but he was able to procure his 10th homer and 41st and 42nd RBI in this one.       Lars Nootbaar (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Friday with Double-A Springfield.

      Advice: Nootbaar told reporters Thursday that he expects to play at least five or six rehab contests before returning to the majors. The 26-year-old corner outfielder has been on the shelf since late May recovering from a moderate oblique strain.       Advice: Nootbaar said he expects his rehab assignment to last roughly six games, which would put him in line to return to the active roster July 5 for the beginning of St. Louis' series with the Nationals.
