    • Takes loss in return
Soriano (4-6) allowed four runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over four innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Soriano missed the minimum time on the injured list due to an abdominal infection. He cruised through the Athletics' order the first time, but he had less fortune the second time around, as Brent Rooker hit a solo shot and Lawrence Butler added a three-run home run. Soriano threw just 62 pitches (39 strikes) in the outing, so he may still be building up to full strength. For the year, he's at a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 64:29 K:BB through 76.1 innings this year. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Cubs. Rotowire.com Today, 10:39 pm
    • Anthony Santander propels Orioles past Mariners
Anthony Santander went 2-for-4 and drove in a run on Tuesday evening, leading the Orioles to a 2-0 victory over the Mariners in Seattle.

Advice: Santander broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning as he smacked an RBI single into right field off of George Kirby in the fourth inning that plated Gunnar Henderson. The 29-year-old outfielder also led off the second inning with a single, but he was ultimately erased on a double play. With his two-hit attack, Santander is now hitting .234/.302/.503 with 22 homers and 56 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Today, 10:32 pm
    • Jose Soriano struggles in return to rotation
Jose Soriano struggled in his return to the Angels’ rotation on Tuesday, giving up four runs on three hits over four innings in a loss to the Angels.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander walked one while striking out four batters on the evening. He cruised through the first three innings unscathed, allowing just one baserunner as he plunked Max Schuemann with two outs in the third. Things fell apart in the fourth though as Brent Rooker crushed a solo homer and Lawrence Butler added a three-run blast. Soriano got six whiffs on 62 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 64/29 K/BB ratio (76 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld Today, 9:55 pm
    • Eovaldi allows one hit in win over Padres
Nathan Eovaldi allowed one hit over seven innings while striking out six to earn the win on Tuesday against the Padres.

Advice: Eovaldi was aided by a two-homer night by Nathaniel Lowe, but the veteran righty didn’t need much help. Eovaldi allowed just one baserunner on the night, which came on a Bryce Johnson single in the top of the third inning. Eovaldi lowered his season ERA to 3.15 in this one and bounced back nicely after allowing five earned runs in his previous outing. Eovaldi is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Rays, where he’ll look to pick up his sixth win. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm
    • Manaea allows one run in no decision
Sean Manaea allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits in seven innings in a no-decision against the Nationals.

Advice: Manaea struck out five and walked two on the day to lower his ERA to 3.67. While the surface-level stats are good, Manaea got just nine whiffs on 47 swings for a 19 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He filled up the strike zone with his sinker but struggled to throw his other pitches in the zone with each of them getting under a 50 percent zone rate. You can’t argue the results, but there doesn’t seem to be much in the arsenal that suggests Manaea is a much different pitcher this season; however, he could be a solid streamer against the Pirates this weekend. • Activated ahead of start
The Angels reinstated Soriano (abdomen) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Soriano landed on the injured list June 20 due to an infection in his abdomen, but he'll now return following a minimum-length stay to start against the Athletics. He could be under a pitch count during his first start back, but he'll still be in a position to succeed versus a weak Oakland offense. Andrew Wantz (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 2:47 pm
    • Angels activate José Soriano for Tuesday start
Angels activated RHP José Soriano from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Soriano will take the ball on Tuesday night against the division-rival Athletics after missing one start due to an abdominal infection. The 25-year-old righty has pitched well this season with a solid 3.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60/28 K/BB ratio across 72 1/3 innings (14 appearances, 12 starts). He’s a worthy streaming option for fantasy managers, especially in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:45 pm
    • Still out Tuesday
Mountcastle (illness) isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: An illness kept Mountcastle out of Sunday's game versus Texas, and he'll remain sidelined Tuesday as he continues to feel under the weather. Ryan O'Hearn will get the nod at first base while Heston Kjerstad serves as the DH. Rotowire.com Today, 2:29 pm
    • Ryan Mountcastle remains out Tuesday due to illness
Ryan Mountcastle (illness) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Mariners.

Advice: Mountcastle remains out of the lineup for the third straight contest due to an ongoing illness. The 27-year-old first baseman’s absence has led to some additional at-bats for Ryan O’Hearn and top prospect Heston Kjerstad in the meantime. Rotoworld Today, 2:15 pm
