      Hall (knee) threw 35 pitches over two simulated innings Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Hall came out of the throwing session feeling like he's ready to make a rehab start, but he had not yet spoken to the medical staff to confirm that's the next step.     • Bednar tosses scoreless ninth for save
      David Bednar picked up the save in the Pirates’ win over the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: The Pirates were up 7-2 before a Jake Bauers grand slam in the eighth inning made it a one-run game. Bednar turned in a clean ninth inning for his eighth save of the season. He lowered his ERA to 8.44 on the season. Considering how Bednar has pitched this year and the Brewers storming back in this game, it was a clutch save. Rotoworld Monday, 8:19 pm
       
    • Struggles in blown save
      Diaz blew the save Monday against Philadelphia, allowing two runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batter. He had one strikeout over one inning.

      Advice: Diaz looked extremely unsettled Monday night, issuing his first free passes since April 20, ending a streak of eight walk-free innings. Even more indicative of his unsteady control, the Mets closer allowed the tying run to score by beaning Alec Bohm with the bases loaded.     • Edwin Díaz melts down Monday in ugly blown save
      Edwin Díaz was charged with two runs in the ninth inning on Monday against the Phillies in a blown save.

      Advice: Not great. Díaz was called upon to guard a two-run lead in the final frame and was unable to slam the door. He served up a solo shot to Bryson Stott to kick things off before drilling Alec Bohm with the bases loaded to push across the game-tying run with two outs in the frame. It was his second blown save in seven chances this season. There’s zero chance of Díaz losing his grip on the closing role in New York, but it’s worth noting that this outing was a real mess.       Bednar struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: Bednar retired the middle of Milwaukee's lineup in order to finish off the 8-6 win. He's converted eight of his 11 save chances this season, including seven in a row. However, he's registered a 6.94 ERA over his last 12 appearances since blowing a save chance against Detroit on April 9.     • Grabs win after Mets walk off
      Diaz (1-1) secured the win over Alanta on Sunday, tossing a perfect ninth frame while striking out a batter.

      Advice: Diaz entered to begin the ninth with the Mets trailing 3-2 and wound up with the win thanks to a Brandon Nimmo two-run walk off homer in the bottom of the inning. He's bounced back with a save and a win in his last two outings after allowing three runs in his previous four innings. He's also struck out at least one batter in all 15 of his appearances thus far. For the year, Diaz owns a 2.30 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 23:4 K:BB in 15.2 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:54 am

      Bednar gave up a run on two hits in the ninth inning Saturday to record his seventh save of the season in a 10-9 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: The right-hander made things interesting, giving up back-to-back hits to begin the ninth and allowing the tying run to get to third base with two outs, but Bednar escaped the jam. He's converted his last six save chances but has been volatile while doing it, getting tagged for runs in five of 11 appearances over that stretch while posting an 8.38 ERA and 12:3 K:BB through 9.2 innings.       David Bednar picked up a save despite allowing a run against the Cubs on Saturday.

      Advice: Bednar continues to pitch at a shaky level, but at least he was able to procure a save; his seventh of the season. The run allowed sees his ERA still sit at an unhealthy 9.64, and fantasy managers have a right to be a little discouraged by how Bednar has pitched over this first month-plus of the season.       Littell (2-2) got the victory Saturday versus the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He notched three strikeouts.

      Advice: Littell came into this outing with zero walks over his last four starts and at least six strikeouts in all of those outings. While he went the other direction in both areas during Saturday's start, it was an effective outing nonetheless. Littell is sitting on a 3.02 ERA, but this was his first win since March 30.
