      Suzuki (oblique) is set to do hitting and defensive drills Saturday with Cody Bellinger, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

      Advice: Suzuki suffered a right oblique strain April 14, and he was placed on the 10-day IL one day later. He was limited to light activity, but has since progressed to on-field batting practice. After his batting session Wednesday, Suzuki noted that he felt he was 80 percent recovered from his oblique strain and could begin a rehab assignment next week if he continues to progress, per Meghan Montemurro and LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune. He's been mired in a slump and entered Friday's game batting .073 (3-for-41) with two RBI over the previous 11 games. Rangers general manager took the long view when speaking with Kenndi Landry of MLB.com, indicating the club expected Seager to need some time to get going after undergoing hernia surgery in January.       Advice: O'Hearn has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-19 (.421) in that span. The homer was his first since April 16, but the 30-year-old continues to demolish right-handed pitching. He's up to a .307/.381/.573 slash line with five homers, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 84 plate appearances this season. It was Cruz's fourth long ball of the season and his first off a southpaw, and the RBI were his first since April 22.
