    • Checks in behind plate Monday
Sanchez (hamstring) will start at catcher and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Sanchez will make a start for the first time since exiting last Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Rays with right hamstring tightness, but he had been available off the bench for the last few days and served as a late-inning defensive replacement at first base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Cubs. He'll be back behind the dish Monday while No. 1 catcher William Contreras gets a day off from catching and serves as the Brewers' designated hitter. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

    • Likely to get start Wednesday
Bido will be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas and is likely to start one of the games during Wednesday's doubleheader against the Rangers, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bido has been really good this season with Vegas in a difficult pitching environment, posting a 2.59 ERA and 39:13 K:BB across 31.1 innings of work. The 28-year-old didn't have as much luck during his time with the Pirates last season with a 5.86 ERA in 50.2 frames, and his minor-league track record is hit-or-miss. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Strikes out 13 in rehab start
Garrett (shoulder) struck out 13 batters and allowed one hit and one walk over 5.2 scoreless innings in his rehab start Monday for the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.

Advice: Though he was facing off against a lineup consisting mostly of teenage hitters, Garrett was dominant nonetheless in what was likely his fifth and final minor-league rehab start. Garrett, who has been on the 15-day injured list all season while recovering from a left shoulder impingement, will likely be activated this weekend to start Saturday or Sunday versus the Phillies for what will be his 2024 debut with the Marlins. • Ready for rehab assignment
Bubic (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with the Royals' Arizona Complex League affiliate on Tuesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bubic is working his way back from last April's Tommy John surgery and is finally ready to pitch in games again. It's possible he could be ready to rejoin the big club in early June after his 30-day rehab window expires, but Bubic does have options left so the Royals could keep him in the minors indefinitely if he doesn't look ready. • Starts up rehab assignment
Puk (shoulder) made the second appearance of his rehab assignment with the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate Monday, striking out two over a scoreless inning.

Advice: Puk has turned in identical two-strikeout perfect innings in the FCL since he started up his rehab assignment Friday. The left-hander broke camp as a member of the Miami rotation, but after turning in a 9.22 ERA and 2.63 WHIP over his four starts before landing on the injured list April 20 with shoulder fatigue, he'll work out of the bullpen once the Marlins activate him. Puk could settle into a high-leverage role in front of closer Tanner Scott right away upon his return to the big club. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Outrighted to Triple-A
Gutierrez cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Francys Romero of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gutierrez had the ability to decline the outright assignment and elect free agency, but he decided not to do so and will remain in the organization. The right-hander figures to join Worcester's rotation. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago
    • Logan O’Hoppe returns from hand injury Monday
Logan O’Hoppe (hand) is back in the starting lineup Monday against the Pirates.

Advice: O’Hoppe missed a couple of games with a contusion on his hand. He’ll hit hit fifth and be the starting catcher for the Halos against Mitch Keller and the Bucs. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago
    • Remains in organization
Reyes cleared waivers and was outright to Triple-A Worcester by the Red Sox on Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Reyes no longer has a spot on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization as utility depth. He's put up just a .183/.234/.217 batting line over 61 plate appearances with the big club in 2024. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Wenceel Pérez (illness) remains out Monday
Wenceel Pérez (illness) remains out Monday against the Guardians.

Advice: The outfielder was scratched from the lineup Sunday, and he will remain out of the lineup Monday while he recovers. The 24-year-old sits with Parker Meadows getting a start in his absence. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago
