    • Brandon Nimmo absent due to cut on forehead
Brandon Nimmo is out of Monday’s lineup after suffering a cut on his forehead when he fell in his hotel room last night.

Advice: Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like Nimmo hurt his head beyond he cut. His absence means the Mets have Jeff McNeil in the outfield and José Iglesias at second tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:48 pm

    • Nursing forehead laceration
Nimmo is absent from Monday's lineup against the Nationals due to a laceration on his forehead, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Nimmo suffered the cut when he slipped and fell in his hotel room Sunday night in Washington, D.C. He passed concussion tests and is expected to be fine, but the injury will cost him a start. It's not clear whether Nimmo might be available off the bench Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:45 pm

    • Getting rest Monday
Nimmo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: With a tough lefty (MacKenzie Gore) on the hill for the Nationals and with the lefty-hitting Nimmo having started in each of the Mets' last 15 games, New York manager Carlos Mendoza likely viewed the series opener with Washington as an optimal time to give the 31-year-old outfielder the day off. Jeff McNeil will pick up a start in left field in place of Nimmo, who concluded June with a blistering .382/.485/.782 slash line over his final 14 games of the month. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:50 pm

    • Locks down save Sunday
Duran picked up the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Mariners, pitching a perfect ninth while striking out a batter in the process.

Advice: Duran capped off the month with his 12th save in 13 tries this season and turned in a scoreless outing for the 10th time in 12 June appearances. The hard-throwing righty owns a solid 3.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB in 25.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:37 am
    • Maintains red-hot bat
Nimmo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Nimmo continues to swing a hot bat, collecting three more hits including a game-tying homer in the seventh. Following a 10-game hit streak, Nimmo's bat had cooled a bit with just one hit in his 10 previous at-bats, though he did reach base four additional times via walks. Nimmo carries a solid .247/.367/.815 slash line on the season with 13 dingers, 50 RBI, 53 runs and five steals. However, over his last 14 games Nimmo is slashing .382/.477/.782 with six homers, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:34 pm

    • Provides offense Sunday
Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner led off the contest with a solo home run, his fourth long ball of the season and second in the last four games. However, he didn't do anything else the rest of the afternoon, while the team as a whole mustered only one additional hit. Still, Hoerner managed to extend his hitting streak to eight games, and he's batting .344 during that stretch. The infielder should remain a viable fantasy option from the top of the order so long as he stays locked in at the plate. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:18 pm

    • Brandon Nimmo doubles, homers
Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, walk, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: Nimmo’s two extra-base hits came at extremely clutch times for the Mets: his two-run homer, the 100th of his career, tied this game in the seventh and his RBI double again brought the Mets even in extra innings. His resurgence over the last few weeks has been a spectacle as he’s pulled his OPS up from .708 on June 13th to .815 today. He’s found a home in the two-hole of the Mets’ lineup and is on pace for 26 homers, 30 doubles, 106 runs scored, 100 RBI, and 10 stolen bases this season. That is the statline of a bona fide stud. • Jhoan Duran silences Mariners to net 12th save
Jhoan Duran fired a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Mariners to collect his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Duran turned in a scoreless outing for the 10th time in 12 appearances since the start of June as he needed just 19 pitches (13 strikes) to slam the door in this one. The hard-throwing 26-year-old righty has converted 12 of his 13 save opportunities this season to accompany a solid 3.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23/8 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings (27 appearances). • Has four hits, drives in three
Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Marlins.

Advice: For the second time in his last 10 games, Castellanos had a four-hit performance after having only one in his previous 264 games. Castellanos has 12 RBI over his last 11 games and now has 42 for the season. The recent hot streak has pushed Castellano's season line to .231/.289/.386 with 11 home runs through 83 games.
