      Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: It was only a matter of time before Santander started to get hot. The 29-year-old took Emilio Pagan deep for a three-run shot in the eighth innings that went 402 feet and left the bat at 104 mph. He also had a 107.3 mph single and 98.3 mph single on the day. He’s slashing .218/.295/.427 on the season with five home runs and 23 RBI. If you can, now would still be the time to try and trade for Santander before he really gets hot.       Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run -- his team-leading 23rd RBI -- and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds, which started five players batting .200 or lower, have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage.       Advice: Steer advanced to a perfect 8-for-8 on steal attempts this season and belted his fourth home run of the campaign -- and his first since April 6 -- off of Joe Musgrove in the first inning.       Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought.       Santander is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

      Advice: Santander will get a breather after he had started each of Baltimore's last 13 games while posting an .886 OPS. The 29-year-old isn't at any risk of losing hold of an everyday role, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup Wednesday to rookie Heston Kjerstad, who has played sparingly since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 23.       Advice: Steer moved from his usual left field to first base, replacing the injured Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). The run batted in was just his second in the last 14 games, but Speer continues to the lead the club with 20 RBI through 28 games. The steal was his seventh, nearly half of the 15 he had over 156 games in 2023. Encarnacion-Strand may miss a few more games, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, and Steer could add to his games played at first base. So far, he's made four appearances there.     • Red Sox move Triston Casas to 60-day IL
      Red Sox transferred 1B Triston Casas to the 60-day injured list.

      Advice: The team needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the addition of Garrett Cooper, and Casas made logical sense after it was reported that he’s dealing with torn cartilage in his ribs and could be sidelined for up to nine weeks.       The Red Sox transferred Casas (ribs) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

      Advice: Casas was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage Friday, and he won't be eligible to rejoin the Red Sox until at least June 21 as a result of his move to the 60-day IL. The Red Sox made the transaction to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Garrett Cooper, whom the team acquired from the Cubs on Saturday in exchange for cash considerations. Once he arrives in Boston, Cooper will likely take over as the team's everyday first baseman in Casas' stead. Whether Casas is able to return from the IL when first eligible in late June likely won't become clear until weeks down the road, when he could be ready to resume workouts.
