    • Nimmo has three-hit game in win against Pirates
Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base against the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Nimmo’s stolen base was his eighth of the year. He was 0-for-10 with two walks in his last three games. Nimmo is hitting .249 with an .810 OPS and 52 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:17 pm

    • Spencer Steer homers and walks in defeat
Spencer Steer homered and walked in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Steer swatted a solo shot in the ninth inning, which is good, but it came with the Reds down 5-2, which is bad for Cincinnati and unimportant for fantasy managers. He’s really swung the bat well as of late while vastly improving his still slightly-underwhelming slash of .243/.336/.435. The 13 homers and 13 steals sure have helped, however. • To play catch next week
Yamamoto (shoulder) will begin playing catch next week, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Yamamoto has been shut down from throwing since being diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain June 16 but will resume a throwing program in the coming days. The 25-year-old is no longer feeling pain in his shoulder and seems to be on track for an August return. Rotowire.com Today, 3:47 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) resumes jogging on Friday
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters that Kyle Tucker (shin) resumed jogging on Friday.

Advice: Tucker, who has been out since early June due to a right shin bruise, was able to resume hitting a couple weeks ago, and has finally resumed running again. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar isn’t going to make it back until after the upcoming Midsummer Classic, but it sounds like he’s finally starting to make some actual progress in his recovery. We don’t want to speculate wildly, but it seems like Tucker was recovering from something more serious than a mere contusion, but there’s been nothing official from the club on that front. • Homers in second straight game
Steer went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Steer got the Reds on the board with a fifth-inning solo shot and later singled in a run in the ninth. It was the second straight game with a home run for Steer, who has 12 for the season and leads Cincinnati with 56 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 6:14 am

    • Secures 14th save
Munoz pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: This was Munoz's first save since June 18 -- he blew a save June 24, which was his only opportunity over his last five appearances. The right-hander has seen the most high-leverage spots rather than being strictly confined to the ninth inning. He faced the 9-1-2 hitters Friday to earn his 14th save in 16 chances this year. Munoz has added a 1.54 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB across 35 innings while adding six holds. With Munoz's usage being more flexible, Ryne Stanek has forced his way into the closer conversation, though the Mariners' recent poor play hasn't led to many save chances for either reliever. • Andrés Muñoz nails down save against Blue Jays
Andrés Muñoz didn’t allow a hit while picking up a save against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Muñoz got all three outs on the ground. He hasn’t missed bats at the elite level he did the last two years, but he’s been effective regardless with a miniscule 1.56 ERA and 14 saves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
    • Homer, two RBI in win
Contreras went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a 7-6 win over the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Contreras hit an RBI single in the fifth inning and tied the game with a solo home run in the ninth. The catcher went just 4-for-23 in June after returning from the injured list but has five hits and two home runs in his past four games. On the season, he is hitting .265 with eight home runs, 17 RBI and 25 runs scored over 178 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Spencer Steer goes deep in Friday’s loss to Tigers
Spencer Steer went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Friday night as the Reds fell to the Tigers in the opening game of their three-game weekend series.

Advice: Steer got the Reds on the board in the fifth inning with a mammoth 425-foot (106.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Reese Olson. He also plated a run with an RBI single off of Jason Foley in the ninth inning and scored on Nick Martini’s RBI triple. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 26-year-old is now slashing .242/.334/.427 with 12 homers, 56 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm
