    • Back on bench Monday
Rogers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Rogers and Carson Kelly have now alternated turns behind the plate over Detroit's last eight games, with both backstops making four starts apiece. The timeshare arrangement will make it difficult to extract much fantasy value from Rogers, who is batting .179 with two home runs and five RBI over 22 games this season. • May begin rehab assignment this week
Urshela (hamstring) could join Triple-A Toledo this week to begin a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Urshela remained with the Tigers for Monday's series opener in Cleveland and was spotted doing some pregame running on the field in what McCosky describes as a potential final test before the third baseman is cleared for a rehab assignment. Before landing on the 10-day injured list April 20, Urshela slashed .298/.310/.333 over 58 plate appearances with the Tigers. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

    • Lands on IL with back injury
The White Sox placed Leone on the 15-day injured list Monday with lower-back tightness.

Advice: Leone tweaked his back during an appearance Saturday in St. Louis and now will be on the shelf for at least the next couple weeks. The veteran reliever holds a 6.75 ERA and 14:11 K:BB over 14.2 relief innings with the White Sox this season. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Recalled ahead of season debut
The White Sox recalled Clevinger from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of his start Monday against the Rays in Tampa.

Advice: Clevinger will make his season debut for the White Sox after getting built back up in the minors upon re-signing with Chicago on a one-year deal April 2. The right-hander allowed three runs on 10 hits and a 7:3 K:BB in 7.1 innings during his two starts with Charlotte. Clevinger threw 71 pitches in his most recent outing, so he likely won't be asked to handle a full workload Monday. He collected a 3.77 ERA and 110:40 K:BB across 131.1 frames covering 24 starts for the White Sox in 2023. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago
    • Vladimir Gutierrez heads to Triple-A
Red Sox assigned RHP Vladimir Gutierrez to Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Gutierrez was designated for assignment on Wednesday, but he cleared waivers and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Worcester. He was acquired from the Brewers in April and made one appearance for the Marlins earlier in the season, allowing three runs on three hits in four innings. He figures to serve as organizational pitching depth. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Cardinals transferred Edman (wrist) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

Advice: Edman has been on the IL all season while working his way back from October surgery on his right wrist. The 28-year-old has resumed taking swings from both sides of the plate without incident, but since he has yet to be cleared for full baseball activities, the expectation was that he would still need at least a few more weeks to finish up his rehab program. With that in mind, Edman's move to the 60-day IL doesn't come as surprise, and his potential timeline for a return won't be dramatically affected as a result. He won't be eligible to make his 2024 Cardinals debut until May 24. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Skenes will make yet another minor-league start
Paul Skenes is scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Indianapolis this week.

Advice: Fans and fantasy managers will have to wait yet another week, at least, before seeing Skenes make his MLB debut. The 21-year-old has made seven starts at Triple-A in 2024, posting a 0.99 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 45/8 K/BB ratio in 27 1/3 innings. The Pirates will, we assume, continue to lengthen him out in his starts until they feel comfortable enough that he can throw five or more innings in each start. Rotoworld 20 minutes ago

    • Shelved with shoulder impingement
The Cardinals placed Gallegos on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right shoulder impingement.

Advice: Gallegos' move to the IL comes one day after he failed to record an out while surrendering three earned runs on three hits en route to taking his first loss of the season in the Cardinals' series finale with the White Sox. Considering Gallegos allowed four runs while recording zero outs in his appearance before that March 30 in Detroit, his injury might have been bothering him for a while. He'll be eligible to come off the IL on May 21. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

    • Taking seat Monday
Isbel is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: It's a rare day off against a righty for Isbel, who will yield to Dairon Blanco in center field. Isbel had started each of the last 13 contests when the Royals were facing a right-hander. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
