    • Knocks three hits
Lowe went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's win over Kansas City.

Advice: Lowe did most of his damage in the sixth inning when he hit a ground-rule double and came around to score the go-ahead run. He entered Friday's game in an 8-for-42 (.190) slump over 12 appearances since his last multi-hit performance June 5. He hit .343 through 18 games to begin his 2024 campaign but has since gone 25-for-118 (.212). For the season, Lowe is slashing .259/.352/.346 with 12 extra-base hits and 21 runs scored. • Nathaniel Lowe has three hits in win over Royals
Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Rangers defeated the Royals in Arlington.

Advice: Lowe singled to help along a Rangers’ rally in the fourth inning, but he was ultimately cut down at the plate attempting to score. The 28-year-old first baseman then doubled in the sixth inning and scored the go-ahead run on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Jonah Heim. With his three-hit attack, Lowe is now slashing .259/.352/.346 with just two homers, 21 RBI and one stolen base on the year. Rotoworld Today, 7:49 pm
    • Strikes out eight in win
Flaherty (5-4) earned the win against the White Sox on Friday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Flaherty threw four scoreless innings before surrendering a solo home run to Tommy Pham in the fifth. He then allowed a hit and a walk with two outs in the sixth before being pulled just shy of a quality start at 98 pitches. The home run was the first earned run Flaherty has allowed since May 23, and the pitch count was encouraging considering he was limited to 73 pitches in his last outing following a back injury. On the season, he owns a 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 108:13 K:BB over 83.1 innings and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next week. Rotowire.com Today, 6:30 pm
    • Jack Flaherty strikes out eight in win on Friday
Jack Flaherty delivered an excellent performance in Friday night’s victory over the White Sox, racking up eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The right-hander scattered five hits on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on a solo homer off the bat of Tommy Pham in the fifth inning. Aside from that though, he was in complete control. Flaherty got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the increasingly popular trade candidate will carry a sublime 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 108/13 K/BB ratio (83 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Phillies. • Luis Campusano (thumb) considered day-to-day
Luis Campusano was scratched from the Padres’ starting lineup on Friday night due to a left thumb contusion.

Advice: Fortunately, the injury isn’t believed to be serious, and the 25-year-old backstop is considered day-to-day. Kyle Higashioka is starting in his place behind the dish on Friday night and will carry the load until Campusano is ready to return. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm

    • Scratched due to left thumb injury
Campusano (thumb) has been scratched from Friday's lineup against the Brewers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano was initially slated to start behind home plate and bat eighth, but manager Mike Shildt said the catcher was scratched due to "soreness and bruising" in his left thumb, and it's unclear whether a stint on the IL is needed. Kyle Higashioka will instead start at catcher and bat ninth against Brewers right-hander Colin Rea. Rotowire.com Today, 3:36 pm

    • Luis Campusano scratched from Padres lineup
Luis Campusano was scratched from the Padres’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: No word yet as to the reason for the late scratch, but it’ll be Kyle Higashioka starting in his place behind the dish and batting ninth against Colin Rea and the Brewers on Friday evening in San Diego. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

    • Homers, reaches three times in win
Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Friday's 11-1 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Alvarez opened the second inning with a 420-foot solo home run off Shota Imanaga then walked in the fourth and ninth frames. The homer was Alvarez's first since returning from a thumb injury June 11, and he has eight hits and five RBI during a modest four-game hitting streak. On the season, Alvarez is slashing .271/.319/.400 with two home runs and 15 RBI in 91 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:17 pm
    • Making first start Friday
Martinez will start at second base and bat eighth in Friday's game versus the Guardians.

Advice: It will be the first major-league start for Martinez, who was on the bench for each of the first two contests following his promotion. The 22-year-old is one of the better power-hitting prospects in baseball, but he does struggle to make contact and isn't regarded as a great defender. Getting him playing time does not appear to be a priority for the Blue Jays during this stint, but he will have a chance to show what he can do Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:41 pm
