    • Collects save Saturday
Clase walked one and struck out none over a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Clase has earned six saves and a win during his active nine-inning scoreless streak. He's added a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is 26-for-29 in save chances this year with a 0.65 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 39:5 K:BB across 41.1 innings. Rotowire.com 2 minutes ago
    • James Paxton pitches well in no-decision Saturday
James Paxton had to settle for a tough-luck no-decision on Saturday after limiting the Brewers to two runs on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 35-year-old southpaw walked two batters while striking out three on the day. The Brewers scratched out a run in the opening inning on a two-out RBI single by Willy Adames. Paxton then served up a solo homer to Rhys Hoskins in the fourth. The Big Maple got just five swings and misses on 83 pitches on the night, leading to an underwhelming CSW of just 19 percent. Paxton will look to finish the first half strong as he carries a 4.24 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 56/40 K/BB ratio (80 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Tigers in Detroit. • Strikes out eight in win
Ryan (6-5) earned the win against the Astros on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Ryan surrendered a run in the third inning and a two-run homer in the fourth while receiving plenty of early run support from his teammates. He generated 15 swinging strikes on 110 pitches and has completed at least five frames in each of his 18 starts this season. On the year, the 28-year-old owns an impressive 3.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 118:16 K:BB through 109.1 innings and lines up to face the Giants next week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:58 pm

    • Winn has two hits, scores twice in loss to Nats
Masyn Winn went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI against the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Winn has a hit in six straight games and is 11-for-27 (.407) in that time. He drove in Nolan Gorman with an RBI single in the third inning and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Nolan Arenado. He scored again on a wild pitch in the fourth inning. Winn is hitting .294 with a .761 OPS and 30 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:52 pm

    • Clase picks up AL-leading 26th save vs. Giants
Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: The save was Clase’s 26th of the year. With another scoreless appearance, his ERA is down to 0.65. Only Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals has more saves than Clase does this year. Rotoworld Today, 3:56 pm
    • Diaz has three hits, three-run home run in loss
Yandy Diaz went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, and a three-run home run against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Diaz’ home run was his eighth of the season. His three-run shot in the seventh inning off Jacob Latz put the Rays on top 3-2. Diaz is hitting just .270 on the season, but has picked it up lately. He’s 42-for-133 (.315) over his last 31 games. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez diagnosed with right knee contusion
Yordan Alvarez is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a right knee contusion on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Twins after being plunked by a pitch on his right knee in his previous plate appearance. It appears to have been a precautionary measure though as the Astros won’t even have any imaging done on their 27-year-old slugger. There’s a chance that he gets Sunday off to be on the safe side, but Alvarez shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:20 pm

    • Has bruised knee
Alvarez was diagnosed with a right knee contusion Saturday and didn't go in for imaging, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez was hit in the knee by a pitch in the sixth inning of Saturday's game and although he stayed in to run the bases, he was later removed in the eighth inning. Considering he didn't need to undergo imaging, the 27-year-old should be viewed as day-to-day. However, with a team off day coming Monday, the Astros could opt to play it safe and hold Alvarez out of Sunday's series finale against Minnesota. Rotowire.com Today, 2:11 pm

    • Joe Ryan strikes out eight in win against Astros
Joe Ryan allowed three runs with eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Ryan pitched two clean frames before a pair of doubles brought a run in to score for Houston in the third. Jon Singleton then hit a two-run homer in the fourth. Ryan worked into the sixth before leaving with the bases loaded and two outs. He struck out eight on the day. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a 3.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 118/16 K/BB ratio across 109 1/3 innings into a start against the Giants in San Francisco on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm
