    • Yandy Díaz goes 0-for-5 in loss to Brewers
Yandy Díaz finished 0-for-5 in the loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.

Advice: Díaz did reach on an error, but he was credited with four groundouts and one flyout today. His groundball rate is currently checking in at 62%, well above his already problematic career mark of 53%. Hopefully, it’s something he can straightened out in the next few weeks. If not, it looks like we’re back to the Díaz of 2019-21, when he was a valuable major leaguer but one without much to offer in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:49 pm

    • Marlins send Jake Burger on rehab assignment
Marlins sent Jake Burger (oblique) on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: The 28-year-old slugger was placed on the injured list a little over two weeks ago and will get some live at-bats with Jacksonville on Wednesday. Prior to hitting the injured list, Burger was slashing .228/.281/.421 with three home runs and 15 RBI in 64 plate appearances this season. If all goes well with his rehab, fantasy managers should expect Burger to be back with the Marlins in the coming days. Rotoworld Wednesday, 11:05 am

    • Beginning rehab assignment
Burger (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Burger has been upping his workouts and is ready to play in some games now. The infielder has been on the shelf for the last two weeks with a left intercostal strain. Burger shouldn't need too many rehab games before rejoining the Marlins' active roster. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:59 pm

    • Back in action Sunday
Diaz (finger) is starting at first base and batting leadoff Sunday against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: The 32-year-old sat out Saturday after being hit by a pitch in the left pinky finger Friday, but he'll rejoin the starting nine after missing just one game. Diaz is hitting .324 in his past nine contests, though he's slugging just .378 during that stretch and has not hit a home run since Opening Day. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:04 am

    • Yandy Diaz returns to lineup from hand injury
Yandy Diaz is leading off and playing first base against the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Diaz was held out of the lineup for Saturday’s contest after he plunked in the hand Friday by a 99 mph pitch from Michael Kopech. Austin Shenton will move back to the designated hitter spot with Diaz back in action for Sunday’s affair. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:45 am

    • Available Saturday
Diaz (hand) is not in the starting lineup but is available as a pinch hitter for Saturday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Diaz left Friday's game after taking a 99-mph fastball off his left pinky in the eighth inning. X-rays came back negative, and while he won't start Saturday, he will be available should the Rays need a right-handed bat. With Diaz in the dugout, lefty-hitting Austin Shenton will start at first base and bat in the cleanup spot against White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:55 pm

    • Yandy Diaz (hand) held out of lineup on Saturday
Yandy Diaz (hand) was held out of the Rays’ starting lineup for Saturday’s contest against the White Sox.

Advice: The hard-hitting 32-year-old infielder was drilled in the hand by a 99.3 mph fastball from Michael Kopech on Friday night. While he was fortunate to avoid any fractures in the ordeal, he’s still dealing with some soreness and swelling and may need to miss a couple of games even if he does avoid a trip to the injured list. Austin Shenton will start in his place at first base and bat cleanup against Jonathan Cannon and the White Sox. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:54 pm

    • X-rays negative on Yandy Diaz’s left hand
X-rays came back negative on Yandy Diaz’s left hand.

Advice: It’s an extremely positive development after Diaz was drilled on the left hand by a 99.3 mph fastball from White Sox closer Michael Kopech during Friday’s series opener. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. He’ll likely require a couple days off to rest and recover, at least until the swelling subsides, but he’s not facing an extended absence. • X-rays negative
X-rays on Diaz's hand came back negative Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Diaz had to leave Friday's game after getting hit in the hand by a pitch during the eighth inning, but it seems he escaped the incident without suffering any significant damage. He may still step out of the lineup for a game or two to avoid playing with any lingering pain, but an extended absence isn't likely. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:43 pm
