    • Goes the distance in victory
Keller (3-3) allowed one run, five hits and one walk in a complete game victory Monday against the Angels. He struck out five.

Advice: Keller stymied the Angels on Monday night en route to his second career complete game -- his first was a shutout May 8, 2023 against Colorado. The Pirates right-hander induced a whopping 64.0 percent groundball-rate, easily his highest in a start this season, outpacing the 37.5 percent rate he generated on the season prior to Monday. Keller is scheduled to make his next start against the Cubs at home this weekend. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago
    • Luis Castillo pitches well, but picks up loss to Twins
Luis Castillo gave up three runs — two earned — over 6 2/3 innings in a loss Monday to the Twins.

Advice: Castillo allowed just an unearned run over the first six, but two more crossed the plate in the seventh. The right-hander struck out seven against three walks, and it was another solid outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. Castillo has a very friendly match-up coming over the weekend against the Athletics. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago
    • Mitch Keller pitches complete game versus Angels
Mitch Keller pitched his second-career complete game on Monday and picked up his third win of the season against the Angels.

Advice: Pittsburgh’s ace went the distance on Monday as he allowed just one earned run on five hits and stuck out five. His lone run came off a solo homer from Zach Neto. Keller threw 109 total pitches with 75 of them called strikes. In the final frame, Keller got Mickey Moniak and Taylor Ward to strike out and then had Willie Calhoun pop up to left center field. It was an efficient outing from the right-hander as he’ll look to improve his 4.41 ERA against the Cubs this weekend at PNC Park. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 pm
    • Garrett (shoulder) whiffs 13 in rehab start
Braxton Garrett (shoulder) struck out 13 batters over 5 2/3 innings in a rehab start Monday in the Florida Complex League.

Advice: Garrett didn’t allow a run and gave up just one hit. It’s really not fair to FCL hitters they had to face a talent like the 26-year-old, but the Marlins wanted Garrett to get one more rehab start. His next outing should come at the MLB level. Rotoworld Today, 1:30 pm

    • Strikes out 13 in rehab start
Garrett (shoulder) struck out 13 batters and allowed one hit and one walk over 5.2 scoreless innings in his rehab start Monday for the Marlins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.

Advice: Though he was facing off against a lineup consisting mostly of teenage hitters, Garrett was dominant nonetheless in what was likely his fifth and final minor-league rehab start. Garrett, who has been on the 15-day injured list all season while recovering from a left shoulder impingement, will likely be activated this weekend to start Saturday or Sunday versus the Phillies for what will be his 2024 debut with the Marlins. • Josh Lowe hitting third in return to lineup
Josh Lowe is starting in right field and batting third for the Rays against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: The Rays are wasting no time throwing Lowe right back into the heart of the order and against right-handed Mike Clevinger, that shouldn’t be a huge surprise. However, the Rays are also set to face just one left-handed pitcher in their next 10 games, so it should be a bit of a softer landing spot for Lowe, who has been on the bench at times against lefties in the past. • Activated for season debut
The Rays activated Lowe (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Lowe originally went on the IL prior to Opening Day with an oblique strain and more recently dealt with a hamstring issue during his minor-league rehab assignment. He's healthy now after resuming his rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham this past Thursday and is finally ready for his 2024 Rays debut following a nearly six-week absence. The 26-year-old had a breakout 2023 campaign with Tampa Bay, hitting 20 home runs and stealing 32 bases. Rotowire.com Today, 11:14 am

    • Rays activate Josh Lowe (hamstring) from IL
Rays activated OF Josh Lowe from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Lowe began the season on the IL with an oblique injury and his return briefly delayed due to a hamstring injury, but he’s finally ready to join the Rays’ lineup. He went 4-for-17 (.235) with two homers after resuming his rehab assignment and will now attempt to duplicate (if not surpass) his breakout 2023 campaign. Rotoworld Today, 11:10 am

    • Good step in rehab assignment
Lowe (hamstring) went 3-for-8 with two home runs in consecutive rehab appearances for Triple-A Durham on Saturday and Sunday.

Advice: Since resuming his rehab appearance with Durham on May, Lowe had gone 3-for-14 with seven strikeouts prior to Saturday's game, when he slugged both of his home runs. His ability to hit for power was a positive sign, though he did strike out four times between Saturday and Sunday. Nevertheless, Rays manager Kevin Cash said that Lowe's results were a step in the right direction, per MLB.com. Lowe could be a candidate to return from the 10-day injured list during the Rays' upcoming series with the White Sox that begins Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 am
