    • Slugs first homer as Padre
Solano went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 win over Miami.

Advice: Solano came into the contest having gone 2-for-13 over his previous seven contests, but he broke the slump with a second-inning solo homer for the game's first run. The long ball was his first as a member of the Padres after joining the organization on a minor-league deal in mid-April. Solano has never been much of a power hitter, but he's consistently demonstrated good contact skills and is slashing .321/.441/.464 in limited opportunities this season. • Effective in no-decision
Rogers allowed one run on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Monday.

Advice: Rogers allowed a second-inning solo homer to Donovan Solano but otherwise kept the Padres off the scoreboard. He notched just four swings-and-misses and three punchouts but managed to get to within two outs of a quality start. Rogers has struggled mightily this season with a 5.65 ERA through 11 outings, and his mediocre 7.8 K/9 -- which is on pace for a career-worst mark -- has further kept him from being a fantasy asset. • Swipes two bags in loss
Rojas went 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a pair of stolen bases in a loss to the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Rojas knocked a fourth-inning RBI single and proceeded to steal two bases but was left stranded at third. The outfielder finished with his first multi-hit game in over two weeks amidst a poor month of May during which he's batting only .203 (13-for-64). Despite his struggles reaching base this season -- Rojas' OBP sits at a meager .269 -- he's managed to carve out some fantasy value in deep leagues with 13 stolen bases in 14 attempts. • Grabs first win
Rodriguez (1-0) pitched two perfect innings and struck out one to earn the win over the Phillies on Monday.

Advice: Rodriguez entered the game with the Giants behind by a run in the fifth inning, but he was sharp and the offense pulled ahead while the rookie right-hander was in the game. After allowing six runs (three earned) over his first three appearances, Rodriguez is riding a 7.2-inning scoreless streak over his last five appearances. He's at a 1.76 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB over 15.1 innings this season, and he's also picked up one hold. He has the ability to cover multiple innings, but that is likely to limit him to mostly low-leverage work despite his excellent ratios so far. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:32 pm
    • Racks up three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-3 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Mountcastle has hit safely in his last six games, going 11-for-25 (.440) in that span. During the streak, he has a double in four of those six games, though he's added just two RBI and has not hit a home run since May 8. Nonetheless, the first baseman is putting together a strong campaign with a .280/.317/.468 slash line, six homers, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 47 games. • Drives in four runs
Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and four RBI in Monday's win over Cleveland.

Advice: Blackmon did most of his damage with a three-run shot to cap off Colorado's six-run fourth inning. It was his second long ball of the year and he snapped a 34-game homerless drought. Blackmon also added a pair of doubles, giving him his first multi-hit performance since May 9. He's now slashing .237/.312/.378 with 15 extra-base hits and 23 RBI through 45 games. • Takes first loss Monday
Walker (3-1) took the loss against San Francisco on Monday, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits and two walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Advice: The positive is that Walker was able to complete six frames for the first time in his past three starts, but he was far from effective in doing so. The right-hander gave up a season-high nine hits, while the five earned runs were the most he's allowed since his season debut April 28. Despite Walker's adequate 3-1 record, he's been unimpressive with a 5.51 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB over 32.2 innings on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm
    • Tagged with six runs
Curry (0-1) allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits and two walks over 3.1 innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Rockies.

Advice: Curry gave up one run through three frames before a disastrous fourth inning. The Rockies piled on six runs, capped off by Charlie Blackmon's three-run homer. Curry gave up two runs through 9.1 innings in his first two MLB starts this season but saw his ERA jump to 5.68 after Monday's rough outing. He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Nationals this weekend but it's unclear if he'll get another turn in the rotation. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:26 pm

    • Falls to 2-3
Lynn (2-3) allowed three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks over six innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Reds.

Advice: All three runs against Lynn came in the first two innings but he was able to settle in to deliver a quality start. He's thrown six frames in each of his last two outings after failing to do so in his previous five starts. The veteran righty is 1-3 with a 4.39 ERA over his last five appearances. On the year, Lynn owns a 53:23 K:BB and a 3.45 ERA through 57.1 innings. His next start is expected to be in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 pm
