      Advice: Happ's seventh-inning, three-run homer snapped a 3-3 tie and appeared to give the Cubs a comfortable advantage, but the Giants scored three runs in the ninth to pull out the win. Nonetheless, Happ continued to break out of his recent slump -- over his past three contests, he's gone 6-for-9 with two homers, six RBI and three walks.     • Nails down save Monday
      Doval earned a save against the Cubs on Monday, striking out one batter in one perfect inning.

      Advice: San Francisco scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to take a one-run lead, and Doval entered in the bottom of the frame to try to slam the door on Chicago. He did so without much trouble, needing just 11 pitches to set down the side in order. The outing helped wash away the sour taste of Doval's outing one day earlier, when he allowed four runs over one-third of an inning in a non-save situation against the Angels.       Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Cubs on Monday.

      Lindor went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over Texas.

      Advice: Lindor wasted no time making an impact Monday; through two innings, he was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. He singled and scored again in the fourth inning before capping off his big day with an RBI double in the fifth. It was Lindor's third four-hit game of the year and first since May 30. Over his last 24 games, he's gone 33-for-98 (.337) with 15 extra-base hits and 18 runs scored. His season slash line is up to .242/.313/.432 through 319 plate appearances.       Ian Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Giants on Monday.

      Advice: Happ’s home run was his eighth of the season. The three-run blast gave the Cubs a 6-3 lead in the seventh inning. It was Happ’s second home run in his last three games and third consecutive game with at least two hits. Happ’s wRC+ on the season is up to 115, which is the same as his career wRC+.       Gray (2-3) allowed nine runs on 11 hits in three-plus innings Monday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Mets.

      Advice: Gray never found his footing Monday and the Mets took advantage. Most of the damage came during a six-run second inning and his night was finished after allowing a two-run shot to Brandon Nimmo in the fourth. Gray had allowed nine earned runs over his previous 50 innings before Monday's brutal outing. His season ERA shot up from 2.17 to 3.31 as a result. Gray's next outing is projected to be in Milwaukee.       Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and two RBI against the Rangers on Monday.



      Advice: Lindor raised his average to .242, which is the highest it’s been all season. He isn’t having his best season, but his wRC+ is up to 116, which isn’t far away from the 121 wRC+ he had last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:10 pm

      Jon Gray allowed nine runs in three innings and took the loss against the Mets on Sunday.



      Advice: Gray gave up 11 hits, walked none and struck out two. Ouch. Gray’s ERA jumped up from 2.17 to 3.31 with this blow up. He probably didn’t deserve that 2.17 ERA to begin with given his xFIP was 3.52 entering Monday’s start. The 32-year-old right-hander will look to bounce back against the Royals at home this weekend.

      Advice: Jansen entered the ninth inning with two runners on base and two outs. He forced a Davis Schneider popout to close to 7-3 win and pick up the save.
