      Advice: Darvish has recovered from a groin injury and was originally expected to come off the injured list to start Tuesday, but that plan was scrapped when he developed inflammation in his right elbow. Initial indications suggested that the issue is minor, and the clean imaging seems to support that, though San Diego will likely be cautious with the veteran hurler's return.       Advice: Doval entered the contest with a one-run lead in the ninth and surrendered a leadoff single to Dansby Swanson before retiring the next three batters in succession to secure his 14th save of the campaign. The right-hander has now converted each of his last five save attempts and has allowed only one baserunner over his last three appearances.       Advice: Stott came around to score every time he reached base in Wednesday's win. The three runs tied a career high, and he added his 20th stolen base of the season. His 20 swipes are the third most stolen bases in the National League behind Elly De La Cruz and Brice Turang. He then doubled the following inning and scored on a two-run single off the bat of Marsh. Stott also reached on a fielder’s choice in the eighth, swiped second base and scored on a sacrifice fly by David Dahl.       Advice: Garver's night was a microcosm of the dichotomy of his first season with the Mariners -- he flashed his power stroke for the second straight night and left the yard for the fifth time in the last 16 games overall, but he also struck out in his other three plate appearances. The veteran offseason addition has impressively knocked 22 of his 39 hits for extra bases, yet the second-highest strikeout rate of his career (30.0 percent) and a .215 BABIP have conspired to generate an anemic .176 average across his first 68 games in Seattle.
