    • Adolis Garcia could be available on Tuesday
According to Rangers Today’s Jeff Wilson, Adolis Garcia (forearm) could be available to play on Tuesday.

Advice: In his Monday newsletter, Wilson mentioned that “all looked good” with Garcia’s MRI and that “Garcia could be available Tuesday in the opener against the Phillies.” That’s a huge sigh of relief for both the Rangers and fantasy managers. It’s not for certain that Garcia will actually be in the lineup on Tuesday, but it sounds like the slugging outfielder will avoid the IL and not miss many more games, if he misses any at all. • Showing off speed
DeLuca went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a stolen base Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: DeLuca started his third straight game, two of which have come in center field in place of Jose Siri. He made the case to maintain consistent playing time over the Rays' weekend series, homering on Saturday while also collecting two steals across the three games. For now, he appears to be in a rotation for two outfield spots with Jose Siri and Josh Lowe, but DeLuca could ultimately overtake Siri if his defense proves to be good enough in center field. • Perfect day at plate
Pederson went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: Pederson opened up the scoring with an RBI-double in the first inning and then plated another run the following frame. He's now got three games with at least three hits this month and has six hits over his last five games. Though he's strictly been platooning against righties, Pederson has been affective when in the lineup, slashing .317/.421/.558 with five homers, 12 RBI, 16 runs and a 15:30 BB:K in 127 plate appearances. • Swipes third bag
Jimenez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Jimenez had a hit in all three games of the team's weekend series but none went for extra bases and he also didn't record any RBI or runs. However, he did steal his third base of the season Sunday and his second in his last four games. It's unclear what has led to his sudden aggressiveness on the basepaths, as he had never attempted a stolen base across the first five seasons of his career. Rotowire.com Today, 6:45 am

    • Fills in at right field
Jankowski started in right field and went 1-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Jankowski was a late addition to the starting lineup when Adolis Garcia (forearm) was scratched. Imaging on Garcia's forearm came back clean, leading the Rangers to believe he'll ready for Tuesday's series-opener against Philadelphia following Monday's day off. Jankowski has recently seen more playing time than normal due to a run of outfield injuries. He's 7-for-25 (.280) over the last nine games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:54 am
    • Serves as cleanup batter
Smith started at third base, batted cleanup and went 2-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Smith filled in as the cleanup hitter after Adolis Garcia was scratched with a forearm issue. He extended a hit streak to five games (7-for-20) but has cooled off overall in May (.630 OPS) after a strong April (.927). Despite the downturn, Smith still gets plenty of opportunities with Josh Jung (wrist) unavailable. Rotowire.com Today, 5:49 am

    • Hitless in return
Carter started in left field and went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Carter returned to the starting lineup for the first time since May 8 after dealing with lower-back soreness. He had served as a pinch hitter in each of the previous two games and played left field for the final six innings of Saturday's 13-inning win. Rotowire.com Today, 5:42 am
    • Nearing game action
Robert (hip) is still awaiting his first action at the team's complex in Glendale, Ariz., Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "We anticipate some game action later this week,'' general manager Chris Getz said. "He seems to have turned the corner and is trending well."

Advice: There was some hope that Robert would get into games in Arizona last week, but the White Sox decided not to push it. Robert missed more than three months with a similar injury in 2021, so it makes sense that the organization would take a cautious approach. While he remains without a definitive timetable to return to the majors, Robert seems to be progressing well, if at a deliberate pace. Rotowire.com Today, 5:35 am

    • Has ankle injury
Steer is dealing with a sore ankle, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Steer was held out of the starting lineup Sunday as a result of the ankle but served as a pinch hitter. He walked for Will Benson with the bases loaded in the seventh inning and was removed for a pinch runner. Cincinnati manager David Bell said Steer should be back to 100 percent for Tuesday's series opener at home against the Padres. Rotowire.com Today, 5:11 am
