    • Matt Waldron to start Friday against Guardians
Matt Waldron will start Friday’s series opener against the Guardians.

Advice: It’ll be Dylan Cease and Michael King toeing the rubber this weekend at Cleveland’s Progressive Field for the remainder of the road series. Waldron has been hit-or-miss over the last few weeks, but has definitely cemented himself as a decent option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues until further notice. • Hunter Greene won’t start in series against Nationals.
The Reds will start Frankie Montas, Nick Lodolo, and Andrew Abbott in this weekend’s series against the Nationals.

Advice: Hunter Greene had been on track to start on Friday based on his turn in the rotation prior to the All-Star break, but he will now be bumped back to next week’s series against the Braves. Obviously, Greene losing a start against the Nationals and gaining one against the Braves is not ideal for his fantasy managers. Rotoworld Today, 11:55 am

    • Pivetta, Bello, Crawford will start vs LAD
The Boston Red Sox announced that Nick Pivetta, Brayan Bello, and Kutter Crawford would start their three-game series against the Dodgers this weekend.

Advice: Nick Pivetta will start on Friday, Brayan Bello will start on Saturday and then Kutter Crawford will start on Sunday. Each can perform well against the Dodgers without a fully healthy lineup, but there is significant risk, especially with Bello. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 am
    • Replaced on All-Star roster
Helsley was replaced Monday on the National League All-Star Game roster with Nationals reliever Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: Per Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Helsley said that he wasn't likely to pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game and instead wished to get rest over the All-Star break. The 29-year-old closer confirmed he was healthy and is merely monitoring his workload, having already appeared in 41 games and thrown 42 innings this season. Helsley's career high in appearances is 54, and he hasn't pitched more than 64.2 innings in any individual season. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:46 pm

    • Helsley scratched, Finnegan added to NL All-Stars
Ryan Helsley has been scratched from the NL All-Star roster and will be replaced by Kyle Finnegan.

Advice: No immediate reason was given for Helsley’s removal. He had a busy first half, but considering that he’s pitched just once in the last 10 days, he’s pretty rested at the moment. It’s the first All-Star nod for Finnegan, who has a 2.45 ERA and 25 saves as the Nationals’ closer. Rotoworld Monday, 2:26 pm

    • Homers as part of three hit day
Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After surrendering a 7-0 lead in the fifth, Guerrero swung the momentum back in the Blue Jays direction with a monstrous solo home run to center field in the seventh to put his team back up 8-7 and the score would hold there. The home run was his first this month and his eighth three-hit performance of the year. After a blistering end to June, Guerrero has cooled off a bit in July and is slashing .229/.250/.354 with his one homer, eight RBI and seven runs scored in 50 plate appearances. He'll head into the break slashing .288/.359/.456 and leads the Blue Jays in home runs (14), RBI (55) and runs scored (47) among other batting categories. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:59 am
    • Launches grand slam
Gelof went 1-for-5 with a grand slam Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Gelof's ninth-inning grand slam was the eighth and final long ball of the day for Oakland and put a rubber stamp on an 18-run outburst for the A's. It was the second consecutive game with a homer for Gelof, who has now hit seven over the past 23 games and is up to 12 on the season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:25 pm

    • Collects three hits, another SB
Robert went 3-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base during Sunday's 9-4 loss to Pittsburgh.

Advice: Despite reaching safely in all five plate appearances, Robert failed to score or drive in a run. However, he swiped his 11th base of 2024, seven of which have come in Robert's last nine games. The 26-year-old enters the All-Star Break with an .804 OPS, 11 home runs, 23 runs and 23 RBI across 179 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:18 pm

    • Drives in five Sunday
Rooker went 2-for-2 with a pair of two-run home runs, an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk in an 18-3 win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: Rooker ignited the Athletics' eight-homer barrage on the afternoon with the first of his two massive round trippers, slugging a 450-foot shot to center with JJ Bleday aboard in the fourth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit. He'd one-up himself just two frames later, clearing the center-field wall at a distance of 452 feet to plate Bleday once again. The All-Star snub has been one of baseball's most fearsome hitters since the calendar flipped to July, hitting .488 (20-for-41) with three doubles, six home runs, 15 RBI, seven walks, three stolen bases and 15 runs.
