    • Homers, triples in losing effort
Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, triple, two RBI and a walk Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Devers third-inning triple plated a run while his solo blast in the eighth knotted the game at four and set the stage for extra innings. It was the second triple and 11th homer of the season for Devers, who entered the game in a mini 1-for-10 slump since accumulating four hits against the Orioles on Tuesday. It was also the first dinger for Devers since hitting homers in six-consecutive games from May 15-20. Rotowire.com Today, 6:17 pm

    • Tigers will option Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A
Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers plan to option slumping first baseman Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: Torkelson, the top overall selection from the 2020 draft, has slashed a miserable .201/.266/.330 through his first 230 plate appearances with only four homers, 18 RBI and a 56/16 K/BB ratio. He has been especially bad as of late, mired in a 3-for-33 (.091) funk with a 13/3 K/BB ratio over his last nine games. Justyn-Henry Malloy will be promoted from Triple-A Toledo to take Torkelson’s spot on the Tigers’ active roster. Rotoworld Today, 5:40 pm
    • Heading to Triple-A
The Tigers are expected to option Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Torkelson was held out of the lineup for two of the Tigers' last three games after struggling to a .201/.266/.330 slash line with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 229 plate appearances in 54 games with the Tigers this season. The first baseman will look to hit the reset button with Toledo before potentially returning to Detroit's major-league roster down the road. In the meantime, Justyn-Henry Malloy is set to be called up from Triple-A to replace Torkelson on the 26-man active roster. Rotowire.com Today, 5:21 pm
    • Fernando Tatis Jr. drives in one in loss
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. gave the Padres a 2-1 lead in the 8th inning with a run-scoring single that should have been enough to close this one out. It was his 31st RBI of the season and while the 25-year-old hasn’t truly exploded at any point this year, he could easily finish the season with 30 home runs and 20 steals, which is impressive work. If he can keep his batting average around .270, he should still put up fringe first-round value even though he hasn’t stood out as an elite fantasy player at any stretch this season. • Rafael Devers homers, triples, walks versus Tigers
Rafael Devers homered, tripled and walked Sunday in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Devers has done his best work this season batting second, and the Red Sox might have won today had they had him in that spot behind Jarren Duran, who was on base four times. Instead, they had him batting fourth behind Dominic Smith of all people. Devers did drive in Smith with the triple, but the homer was a solo shot. It was his first game with multiple extra-base hits since he doubled twice on May 3. Rotoworld Today, 2:07 pm

    • Cedric Mullins goes 0-for-4 before being lifted
Cedric Mullins went 0-for-4 before being lifted for a pinch-hitter Sunday versus the Rays.

Advice: It says a lot that the Orioles hit for Mullins against a righty. The team hoped he was breaking out of his slump a couple of weeks ago, but he’s 1-for-20 with a 7/0 K/BB ratio since May 24, dropping his season line to .181/.225/.319. He’s a tough guy to drop in fantasy leagues, since he can be very valuable when he’s on (he just had six homers and six steals in April), but this is ugly right now. He does have options left, so the Orioles could choose to send him down for a few weeks. Rotoworld Today, 1:47 pm

    • Report: Royce Lewis likely back off IL Tuesday
Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports that Royce Lewis (quad) is likely to be activated off the injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Lewis is going to play third base Sunday during his rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul. The 24-year-old will then have a chance to return to the Minnesota lineup as long as everything goes well in that outing. Lewis has significant fantasy upside, and if he’s still on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues, he’s well worth roster consideration. Just keep in mind that injuries have been a major part of his storyline the last few seasons. Rotoworld Today, 9:59 am

    • Jose Altuve gets Sunday off against Twins
Jose Altuve is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: Altuve will get a rare day off for the series finale against the Twins. He’ll take a seat with Mauricio Dubon hitting sixth and playing second base. Kyle Tucker is leading off as the designated hitter, with Chas McCormick getting the start in right field. Rotoworld Today, 9:46 am

    • Expected back Tuesday
The Twins are expected to reinstate Lewis (quadricep) from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus the Yankees, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lewis has been on the shelf since suffering a right quad strain in the Twins' March 28 season opener, but the standout infielder looks to be on the cusp of rejoining the big club. He began a rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul on May 25 and has thus far made five starts in the minors, going 3-for-19 with a double, a stolen base and two runs. According to Park, Lewis is scheduled to start at third base for St. Paul in Sunday's game against Rochester, and if all goes well, the 24-year-old should get the green light to return from the IL. Once Lewis is activated, he'll likely take over as the Twins' everyday third baseman, pushing Jose Miranda into a bench role. Rotowire.com Today, 9:27 am
