    • Records sixth steal
Westburg went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Westburg has hit safely in his last eight games, going 12-for-31 (.387) in that span. The steal was his first since May 11 and his sixth on nine attempts this season. It's unlikely Westburg will be negatively impacted by the Orioles' promotion of Connor Norby to replace Jorge Mateo (concussion) on the 26-man roster -- Westburg should continue to see near-everyday playing time between third base and second base. The 25-year-old is slashing .292/.348/.510 with nine home runs, 36 RBI and 30 runs scored over 222 plate appearances as he enjoys a breakout in his second major-league campaign. • Lifts homer Monday
Santander went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Santander has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 12-for-41 (.293) with four homers and eight RBI in that span. He continues to dig himself out of a rough start to 2024, though he's still at a .223/.301/.450 slash line over 54 contests. Santander has added 11 homers, 33 RBI, 31 runs scored, 11 doubles and a triple while seeing steady playing time in right field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:54 am

    • Santander blasts 11th home run Monday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Santander’s 11th of the season. His ISO is up to .228, which would be a career-high not including the shortened 2020 season. Santander is hitting just .228, but his .227 BABIP is well below his career .269 BABIP. His strikeout percentage is 18 percent, which is below his career 20 percent strikeout percentage. Santander’s power is still there and he’s just been unlucky with his average so far.

    • Nico Hoerner has two hits in loss to Reds
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Hoerner has been slowly increasing his batting average in recent weeks and is up to .262/.351/.366 on the season; however, he didn’t attempt a stolen base today and has just six on the season. After stealing 43 bases last year, it’s discouraging to see Hoerner not running as often. It could partially be a hamstring issue he’s been dealing with or a new philosophy under manager Craig Counsell, but since Hoerner doesn’t have much power, his fantasy value will take a big hit if he’s only a 25-stolen-base hitter who will hit .270-.280. If you need the steals, you should still keep Hoerner in your lineup, but if you’re OK on speed and somebody makes a compelling offer, he could be a player you’re OK parting with. • Davis Schneider with two more hits
Davis Schneider went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored, and RBI on Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Schneider came around to score on Daniel Vogelbach’s go-ahead, two-run double and seems to be in the middle of most Blue Jays rallies at this point. Their lineup has found more life since anointing him their permanent lead-off hitter and it would be shocking to see him out of that role any time soon. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:12 pm

    • Goes deep Saturday
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander has started to look more like himself, going 9-for-32 (.281) with three homers over his last nine contests. For the year, he's slashing .218/.300/.440 with 10 homers, 30 RBI, 29 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases. Santander has been plagued by a .224 BABIP this year, so it's no surprise his overall numbers are down, but it's a reason for optimism that he'll be able to turn things around. • Homers in return
Westburg went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

Advice: Westburg was out of the lineup for two games with a hand injury, but it didn't seem to be bothering him in Saturday's win. He's gone 10-for-22 (.455) with two homers and seven RBI over his last six games, posting three multi-hit efforts in that span. The infielder continues to hit well despite often being in the bottom half of the order. He's slashing .295/.354/.523 with nine homers, 36 RBI, 30 runs scored, five stolen bases, 11 doubles and three triples over 52 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:16 am

    • Three-hit night in rout
Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles and a run in a win over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Teammates J.P. Crawford and Luke Raley connected for big blasts, but Rodriguez took a peskier approach with his constant presence on the basepaths. The star outfielder brought home Ryan Bliss in both the third and sixth innings via timely singles, and Rodriguez eventually also crossed the plate with the final run of the night following the latter knock. Rodriguez now has three multi-RBI tallies in the last seven games, a stretch during which he's also recorded four multi-hit efforts and posted a .429 average (12-for-28). • Rodriguez has three-hit game Saturday
Julio Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI against the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Rodriguez started the scoring with an RBI single in the third inning and added another RBI single in the sixth inning to put the Mariners ahead 7-0. He’s now up to .273 with 23 RBI on the season. Rodriguez hasn’t lived up to his first round draft status so far this season because his power has nosedived. His .071 ISO this year is over 100 points lower than his career .192 ISO. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:43 pm
