Bibee (7-3) yielded four runs on six hits and two walks Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Giants.

Advice: Bibee got off to a brutal start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He snapped his streak of three consecutive quality starts with his shortest outing since May 8. Bibee went 3-1 with a terrific 40:4 K:BB in five June starts and was 5-1 over his previous 10 outings before Friday's loss. He now owns a 3.67 ERA with a 115:24 K:BB through 98 frames. Bibee's next outing is projected to be in Detroit. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Clay Holmes blows save against Red Sox
Clay Holmes allowed two home runs on two hits in a blown save on Friday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Holmes pushed the Red Sox to their final strike before Masataka Yoshida sent a sinker deep into the right field seats. The home run was just the second Holmes has allowed this season, matching his total from last season. It was also his fifth blown save in what’s been an up-and-down season so far. • Trea Turner smacks two homers in win over Braves
Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with two two-run home runs in an 8-6 win over the Braves on Friday.

Advice: Good things have come in pairs for Turner who’s two two-run shots off Max Fried gave the Phillies a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. This was also the second time in four games Turner hit two long balls and his fourth multi-hit game in five contests. Deuces are officially wild for Turner. Rotoworld Today, 7:50 pm

    • Spencer Steer goes deep in Friday’s loss to Tigers
Spencer Steer went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Friday night as the Reds fell to the Tigers in the opening game of their three-game weekend series.

Advice: Steer got the Reds on the board in the fifth inning with a mammoth 425-foot (106.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Reese Olson. He also plated a run with an RBI single off of Jason Foley in the ninth inning and scored on Nick Martini’s RBI triple. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 26-year-old is now slashing .242/.334/.427 with 12 homers, 56 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:37 pm

    • Goes deep twice
Turner went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Turner belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning followed by another in the sixth. He's gone deep five times in 16 games since returning from the injured list, with four of those coming in his last four games. Turner has knocked multiple hits in eight of those 16 games, good for a .338 (24-for-71) average. On the year, he's slashing .341/.386/.510 with 21 extra-base hits and 22 RBI through 49 contests. • Steals base in loss
Garcia went 0-for-3 with a walk and a steal in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Garcia stole his seventh bag of the season in the fourth inning, then was thrown out at home trying to score on Leody Taveras' single. Garcia, who stole 25 bases (on 31 attempts) in 2022, is an occasional base stealer these days. He was successful on nine of 10 attempts last year and on seven of nine thus far in 2024. Thursday's walk extended Garcia's on-base streak to 14 games, during he has logged a .350 OBP. Rotowire.com Today, 6:15 am

    • Allows one run in save
Fairbanks picked up the save over the Royals on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit over one inning while striking out one.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the contest with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and retired the first two batters in succession before surrendering a solo homer to Bobby Witt. The right-hander was then able to get Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out for the final out of the game, securing his 14th save of the season. Fairbanks has now converted each of his last four save attempts, though he's also allowed a run in four of his last nine appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 am
    • Belts three-run homer
Steer went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk against the Yankees in an 8-4 victory Thursday.

Advice: Steer gave the Reds a 5-0 lead with his three-run blast to the short porch in right field in the fifth inning. The long ball was his 11th of the campaign, and he's just shy of the halfway point to reaching the 23 homers he hit last season. Steer also has 54 RBI, 41 runs and 13 stolen bases through 355 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:19 pm

    • Posts quality start
Lively (8-4) picked up the win Thursday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Lively nabbed his second consecutive quality start -- his fifth of 2024 -- and generated his most punchouts since May 20. The 32-year-old was tagged by Paul DeJong for a two-run homer in the sixth inning but was otherwise excellent. Through 77.1 innings this season, Lively owns a 3.14 ERA and a 67:22 K:BB. He's on track to make his next start against the Tigers in Detroit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:14 pm
