    • Blackmon has three hits, stolen base Saturday
Charlie Blackmon went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored, a double and a stolen base against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The stolen base was Blackmon’s fifth of the season. He’s hitting just .259 with two home runs this year, but figures to continue to see a decent amount of playing time because, well, it’s the Rockies. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago
    • Clayton Kershaw tabbed for one more simulated game
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) is scheduled to throw one more three-inning simulated game before beginning a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Kershaw threw a two-inning simulated game at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday without any issue, touching 90 mph during the session. If all goes well with his next simulated game, he would then be cleared to start a minor league rehab assignment. He still looks to be on track for a return around the All-Star break. • Tovar goes deep twice against Cardinals
Ezequiel Tovar went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The two home runs give Tovar 10 on the season. He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson in the sixth inning and a two-run home run that gave the Rockies a 6-4 lead off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning. Tovar is up to .294 with a .813 OPS and 28 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Kinley picks up fourth save Saturday
Tyler Kinley picked up the save against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: The save was Kinley’s fourth of the season. He now has saves in back-to-back appearances. The Rockies closer situation still seems like a mess, but there might be some clarity if Kinley continues to be the guy in the ninth inning for Colorado. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago
    • Sharp in return
Gray allowed one hit and one walk while striking out four over 2.1 scoreless innings in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Gray appeared in relief of Andrew Heaney on Saturday in his first appearance since May 21, after he was placed on the IL with a groin strain. The right-hander certainly looked healthy, as he struck out four of the nine batters he faced. Overall, Gray is 2-2 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 59.1 innings this year. He's currently scheduled to rejoin the rotation next week on the road versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Set for MLB debut
Amador will be recalled from Double-A Hartford, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports Saturday.

Advice: With Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) on his way to the 10-day injured list, Amador will get his first crack at big-league action. The 21-year-old hasn't made it past Double-A yet and although he owns a .194 batting average this season at Hartford, Amador is 14-for-39 (.359) with six home runs and six stolen bases in his last nine games. He figures to share playing time with Alan Trejo at second base. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Feltner strikes out seven against Cardinals
Ryan Feltner allowed four runs (none earned) in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Rockies’ 6-5 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Feltner gave up two hits, walked one and struck out seven. Back-to-back errors in the sixth inning led to four runs for the Cardinals. Feltner was actually pretty good in this one, but of course the Rockies comeback came after he was already out of the game and he’s still stuck on one win this season. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 5.74 ERA into his next matchup against the Pirates at home next week. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Rockies’ manager Bud Black told reporters after Saturday’s game that Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) would be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday’s series finale against the Cardinals.

Advice: Black also confirmed what Francys Romero had reported earlier, that Adael Amador would be recalled from Double-A Hartford to take his place on the active roster. It’s a tough break for the Rockies, as Rodgers had been swinging a hot bat and had been extremely productive over the past few weeks. No word yet on just how long they expect Rodgers to be sidelined for. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

    • Falls to San Francisco
Heaney (2-7) took the loss Saturday against the Giants, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: All three of the runs charged to Heaney came off the bat of Heliot Ramos -- the outfielder opened the scoring with a double in the first inning before adding a two-run homer in the third. The 33-year-old Heaney had earned wins in his previous two appearances (one in relief), delivering 8.1 scoreless innings in that span. Overall, he sports a 4.06 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 58:15 K:BB across 62 innings this season. Heaney is currently lined up for a road start next week in Seattle, though he could find himself back in the bullpen with Jon Gray returning from the IL. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago
