    • Langeliers back in the lineup Friday
Shea Langeliers is back in the Athletics lineup, batting fourth against the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Langeliers had a routine day off on Thursday night against the Astros, but he’s back in the lineup on Friday. His average is just .218, but he has nine home runs and 24 RBI in 133 at-bats this season. Rotoworld Today, 1:01 pm
    • Taking seat Thursday
Langeliers is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Houston.

Advice: It's a routine day off for Langeliers after he started each of the last four days behind the plate. Kyle McCann will do the catching for Joey Estes on Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm
    • Idle Thursday
Wong isn't in the Red Sox's lineup for Thursday's game against Tampa Bay, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Wong will take a seat for Thursday's series finale after going 3-for-11 with an RBI through the first three games against the Rays. Reese McGuire will start instead behind the plate and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:38 am

    • Connor Wong hitting third for Red Sox on Monday
Connor Wong is starting behind the plate and batting third for the Red Sox on Monday against the Rays.

Advice: Wong has hit as high as second this season but only against left-handed pitching, so having him hit third with Rafael Devers and Tyler O’Neill both in the lineup is surprising. The Red Sox are clearly looking to spark some offense, and Wong is hitting .364/.417/.500 in six games in May with just a 21% strikeout rate, so Boston is looking to see if his hot bat can spark their offense. Fantasy managers who lost Willson Contreras can certainly look to Wong to fill the gap with him swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Monday, 11:38 am

    • Sitting Saturday
Langeliers is not in Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.

Advice: Langeliers is on a heater, batting .429 with three home runs, two triples and two doubles in his last five games. Kyle McCann is starting behind the dish and hitting sixth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:03 pm
    • Getting breather Saturday
Wong is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Wong will begin Saturday's game in the dugout after going 2-for-4 while scoring Boston's lone run in Friday's loss. The lefty-hitting Reese McGuire will start at catcher and bat seventh against Washington right-hander Jake Irvin. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:21 am

    • Sets record in twin bill
Langeliers went 5-for-9 with a double, a triple, two home runs, a third run scored and eight RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Rangers.

Advice: The 26-year-old backstop fell a single short of a cycle in the matinee while driving in five runs, and Langeliers then launched his second long ball of the day in the second inning of the nightcap off Jack Leiter. Langeliers' eight RBI were the most ever by an Oakland player in a doubleheader, breaking the record of seven set by Reggie Jackson in 1969. Langeliers has produced multiple hits with a homer in three of his last four games, but the surge has only brought his batting average up to .209 (24-for-115). He is supplying some big-time power, however. Through 34 contests, he's slugged nine homers with 24 RBI. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:27 am
    • Wong records two more hits against Braves
Connor Wong went 2-for-4 with a double in Wednesday’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: Wong continues to hit. He’s up to .354 on the season with a .964 OPS. While Wong is a career .249 hitter, he’s cut his career strikeout rate from 31 percent to 21 percent this year. If he keeps that up, there’s certainly reason to believe he can be an asset in batting average for the rest of the season.

    • Shea Langeliers homers, plates five in A’s win
Shea Langeliers went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and five RBI, powering the Athletics to a 9-4 win over the Rangers in the opening contest of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Langeliers blasted a go-ahead two-run shot off Rangers starter Michael Lorenzen in the second inning before adding a two-run double in the fourth inning and an RBI triple a couple frames later to cap off a stellar five-RBI performance. He’ll presumably be back at designated hitter for the nightcap of Wednesday’s twin bill after catching the front-end of the doubleheader. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:06 pm
