    Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

    Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month.     Manny Machado went 4-for-5 with an RBI in a victory Friday over the Brewers.

    Advice: Machado and Jake Cronenworth were the offensive stars for the Padres on Friday; combining to go 9-for-10 in the four-run win.   • Luis Arraez golfs out homer in win over Brewers
    Luis Arraez hit a two-run homer against the Brewers on Friday in a win for the Padres.

    Advice: Arraez is not known for his power, but the 27-year-old was able to golf out a pitch down and in for his second homer of the season.   • Jake Cronenworth has five-hit day in win over MIL
    Jake Cronenworth went 5-for-5 with a homer, four runs scored and a stolen base in a 9-5 win over the Brewers on Friday.

    Advice: Cronenworth and Manny Machado combined for nine hits on Friday, which is a large number. The infielder hit his 12th homer of the season in the sixth off Colin Rea. The five knocks for Cronenworth give him seven in the last two games, and he’s seen his average rise from .251 to .266.   • Headed for injured list
    Toro suffered a strained hamstring Friday and will be placed on the injured list, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Toro was held out of the lineup earlier in the week with a shoulder issue and returned to the lineup Friday.   • Royce Lewis hits 10th homer in 16th game
    Royce Lewis homered and went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

    Advice: Incredible. That’s Lewis’s 10th homer of the season, and it comes in just the 10th game of the season for the 25-year-old. He didn’t pick up any other hits and struck out twice, but it’s hard to care. What Lewis is doing right now is spectacular. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    Lowe went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's win over Kansas City.

    Advice: Lowe did most of his damage in the sixth inning when he hit a ground-rule double and came around to score the go-ahead run. He entered Friday's game in an 8-for-42 (.190) slump over 12 appearances since his last multi-hit performance June 5. He hit .343 through 18 games to begin his 2024 campaign but has since gone 25-for-118 (.212). For the season, Lowe is slashing .259/.352/.346 with 12 extra-base hits and 21 runs scored.   • Nathaniel Lowe has three hits in win over Royals
    Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Rangers defeated the Royals in Arlington.

    Advice: Lowe singled to help along a Rangers’ rally in the fourth inning, but he was ultimately cut down at the plate attempting to score. The 28-year-old first baseman then doubled in the sixth inning and scored the go-ahead run on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Jonah Heim.     Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two walks on Friday against the Yankees.
