      Marcus Semien went 3-for-4 with three RBI in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

      Advice: Semien got the Rangers on the board with an RBI double off George Kirby to make it 4-1 Mariners. In the top of the ninth, the star second baseman drove in two more, but the Rangers still trailed 7-5 after that one.       Yamamoto was pulled from Saturday's start against the Royals with triceps tightness. He allowed one hit and one walk with one strikeout across two scoreless innings before being removed.

      Advice: Yamamoto was initially scheduled to start Thursday but had the outing pushed back for rest purposes, though after Saturday's yank it seems possible the rookie was dealing with some sort of issue. Yamamoto saw his fastball velocity dip to as low as 92.9 miles per hour before being removed, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports. Michael Grove will take over on the mound for the Dodgers.       Advice: Muncy's recovery from a right oblique strain has been unexpectedly slow, and he doesn't seem particularly close to returning. The 33-year-old hasn't swung a bat in a few weeks and won't be cleared for swings for at least another week, all but ruling out a June return.       Advice: Bradish pitched five frames in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Phillies, leaving the contest with right elbow discomfort, which is now understood to be due to the much-feared UCL injury. The 27-year-old missed the first month of the season with a UCL sprain, so he's likely set to miss more than the minimum 15 days. Left-hander Nick Vespi was called up from Triple-A Norfolk to replace Bradish on Baltimore's major-league roster in a corresponding move Saturday. There should be an update on his status at some point in the near future, but the 27-year-old righty could be facing a lengthy absence. It's unclear whether or not Verlander's injury will require a stint on the injured list, but for now the 41-year-old's next opportunity to return to the mound appears to be next weekend in Baltimore at the earliest.       Justin Verlander was scratched from Saturday’s start against the Tigers due to neck discomfort.

      Advice: No word yet on the severity of the neck ailment that led to Verlander being scratched from a highly-anticipated outing against his former team, but Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters they don’t believe it’s an injured list situation. Espada added that the 41-year-old veteran righty has been pitching through neck soreness for the last two or three weeks, which certainly helps explain his recent struggles. It’ll be rookie Spencer Arrighetti taking the ball in his place. There should be an additional update on his status at some point this weekend.
