    Baez (back) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Joe Reedy of the Associated Press reports.

    Advice: Manager A.J. Hinch had previously said June 25 that Baez wasn't on track to return from the 10-day injured list before the Tigers' ongoing road trip concludes July 7, but the veteran shortstop looks like he could be an option to play during the final week before the All-Star break. The Tigers will likely wait and see how Baez responds to at least a few rehab games with Toledo this week before determining his next steps.     Advice: Abrams didn't wait long to make his presence felt, swatting a 396-foot homer to lead off the contest. It was the 13th long ball of the campaign for the shortstop, and he's well on pace to surpass the 18 home runs he hit during his first full big-league season last year. Abrams hasn't been as successful as a runner this season -- he's just 13-for-22 in stolen-base attempts after going 47-for-51 in 2023 -- but he's otherwise shown growth in nearly every offensive category, slashing .278/.334/.498 with 20 doubles, five triples, 50 runs and 42 RBI through 328 plate appearances.     Advice: Turang's speed was on display in the defeat -- he plated the Brewers' first run with an RBI bunt single in the third inning and followed the hit with a steal of second base. Fantasy managers should have been aware of Turang's speed coming into the campaign after he swiped 26 bags in 137 games last year, but the second baseman's other offensive stats have been a pleasant surprise.     Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

    Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays.     X-rays on Seager's left wrist came back negative after he exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles when he was hit by a pitch, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He'll undergo further evaluation Sunday.

    Advice: Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before his night came to an early end during his third trip to the plate. He looked to be in significant pain when he took a Cade Povich pitch to the wrist, but fortunately, he appears to have avoided any structural damage. Even so, Seager is likely still hurting and shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore.
